It's useful when people are furnishing facts as it enables others to make valid opinions on the real world problems of others. For example basic shelf filling at Tesco compared to delivering a round at RMG. Although no experience of either I would think the RMG task more onerous. On the other hand I understand that there are things to be factored in. Such as overtime rates, sick pay, shares etc. Again not things which I have knowledge of and should overtime rates even be considered. After all if an employee is offered overtime that's benefiting both sides. If the employee is willing and not coerced then so be it.

ATISHA. Thank you for explaining I must admit to being out of touch with day to day needs. So in order to take home £450 requires approx 48 hour week.

Blockfire, Thanks for the clarity. I can totally understand your comment. In normal circumstances what would you consider a minimum basic weekly wage which would cover normal outgoings.

Apologies for not knowing. The 2020/2021 UK minimum wage (National Living Wage) per hour is currently: £8.72 if over 25, £8.20 21-24 years old, £6.45 18-20 years old, £4.55 for under 18 years old and £4.15 for apprentice.

However politicians also have their snouts in the trough as witnessed in 2013 when the general public were short changed while backhanders assured the larger Investors were rewarded. So what chance of amendments to the rules, no chance.

Indicates he is making progress. You also say "he has made us an absolute shambles in delivery" therefore two out of three. It's a start but of course the third is a harder nut to crack. I note that "the order of the boot" followed the van rental cancellation decision. Obviously therefore the cancellation was not CEO sanctioned.
You state £50 million fine by Ofcom. No fine issued at this point and common sense should see extenuating circumstances were prevailing.
Strikes are not the answer. What's required is the entire workforce to perform their duties 100% from CEO down.

As usual it's in the hands of those that consider themselves Gods. We are merely onlookers and if we react, fuel for the fires.
