Had you agreed back then and inflation is already far higher the CWU would be backing out of the deal. Remember they were asking not for a % but in line with inflation. That could easily have been upped to in line with projected inflation.
If I were a worker faced with an intransigent management at this time. I would negotiate the best % salary increase I could.
If I could not get agreement on conditions. I would sign up for the best that could be agreed. Then everything commences under the new regimes. Providing the workforce are complying with what was agreed there are two scenarios :-
1. Alls well no problem.
2. The systems are not thought through correctly and despite due diligence by the workforce there are problems.
If that's the case back to the drawing board and take on board workforce suggestions

SP 285.10 Monday morning dropped since. This will only go down unless people that can make decisions get around the same table and find common ground.

Arsenal. I think if you did some analysis you would find that some use the word "filtered" as a badge of disgrace. I won't mention names but have lost count of the replies from these people.
Others are the most regular responders to my posts about anything. Personally I think filter away I don't give a toss.

HUNT. Unfortunately the comment about me being the poster "feline" was way back, hence the need to research way back. Perhaps also your jokey reference to me being JB also contributed to the memory association. It's unusual to reach a satisfactory conclusion with regard to comments here. Perhaps my methods work.
