As per a report published in Sky News, the Board of Royal Mail Plc (RMG.L) is in discussions to appoint Rico Back, Chief Executive Officer, GLS, as Group CEO as Moya Greene is planning to resign from the Group, in the current year. Moya Greene was appointed in September 2013 to the Board of Royal Mail. She is currently a non-Executive Director of easyJet plc. Rico Back was the founding manager of German Parcel in 1989, which was acquired by the Group. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of GLS in October 1999

Although some may find my comment provocative it was not my intention Isleworth. I try to post in a way that may be of interest to others and appreciate that some others do the same. Royal Mail plc (RMG.L) is pleased that members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the agreement in principle on pensions, pay, a shorter working week, culture and operational changes. On 1 February 2018 the Company announced that it had reached agreement in principle with the CWU. The union recommended that members vote in favour of the agreement during the ballot. Ends

Which way will it go? The Consultative Membership Ballot the CWU is currently undertaking on the Four Pillars and Pay Agreement reached with Royal Mail Group is scheduled to close on Wednesday 28th March 2018.

Good day for RMG share price today despite it being pretty horrible on markets generally. I'm thinking the ballot has a positive result.

IMHO Probably due to uncertainty regarding ballot outcome being used by some as scaremongering tactic. Nothing else that I consider noteworthy. Dividend over 4% future nationalisation not a possibility far better to spend money on NHS than buying shareholders out. GLS is ring fenced anyway so can't be nationalised. I topped up a little too soon but as usual will take the rough with the smooth.
