POG now very close to a price where it will be uneconomical for some companies to mine. - I seem to recall Centamin stating they could mine with gold at $1000 and still be profitable. - Or have I got that wrong? - If they could, that would be a plus. IMO

Hi Auson. - 'This madness will end soon'. - I'd love to think so, but I fear not. - This could be the 'Opening salvo' in a war that America will win. - There may be unforeseen circumstances that will change the direction of travel, but failing that, I think everybody's in for a rough ride.

It's possible that what we're currently witnessing is a politically motivated move against gold rather than a move inspired by the market forces of supply and demand. - A move against an Asian initiative, through gold, to move away from the dollar. - If I'm right, it means we are positioned in the wrong place at the wrong time. We could get caught in the crossfire.

There's one thing for sure, if the position as presently presented, with questionable production allied to non-shipments is maintained, you'll be picking this share up for under 50p, - But who would want to? - Who would want to place their trust in a management that was sitting on top of the world with a huge cash-pile and no debt and then blew-it?

Hi Casparoni - Centamin have stated that where funds are not required for essential maintenance /expansion etc. then it will be paid as dividend. - The rate at which they are dispensing dividend tells me they have no plans for using their money other than for this purpose. - I know I've got a bee in my bonnet about it, but when you see/hear what's going on around us and considering the strengths we have in these times of opportunity, it's hard not to be critical. - IMO.

No shipment news this week. - It needs to start coming through and in good numbers to meet even the lower forecast.

So what is a 'Declaration of commerciality'? - I believe an 'Exploitation lease' can be granted once a commercially viable area is identified/approved . - Is that what is happening here or are they not yet at that stage? - The granting of an exploitation lease means, I think, that it's all good to go.- Mining can commence.

Bu perhaps that's just me. - I note once again you have distorted what I said. - Why do you do that? - I didn't say the price would recover near to it's pre production warning level cum POG 1300, although it might. - I said at 1300 it will recover as will all of the miners. - There's a big difference between the two statements and yet you choose to twist it in justification of your position. - Anyway, enough of handbags. - Going forward, let's hope gold does breakthrough 1300 - 1400 - 1500 and so on, it would create the fillip that we ALL need. - And also, let's hope that in such circumstances, gains are not negated through further production set-backs, (snake-trap) time will tell. - Good luck.

Of course the price will recover if gold hits 1300 as will all of the miners. The ensuing extra profits will be a top-up for everybody. - You don't need a degree in maths to work that one out. - With regards to your reading that with Kinesis you get 70% of an ounce of gold for 100% of the price. - That tells me one thing. - You haven't read it at all and yet you pose as an expert. - There is nowhere in any of the Kinesis literature that refers to the price you will pay for the Kinesis suite of currencies. - I repeat, nowhere. - The coins are not launched until March 19, then and only then will we know what the pricing is, although I can tell you that the gold-coin will be backed by one gram of gold and the silver by 10grams of silver. Therefore, the price of the metals at the time will determine the launch price. The price thereafter will float in perpetuity with the price of the metals themselves. You didn't know that did you - Because Mr Expert, you haven't read the bloody thing.
