I’ve always thought BOO was the much better business. Own brands, higher margins, far less debt and carrying way less older stock.

It’s a much safer bet in my opinion.

I don’t see what Umar splashing his own cash has anything to do with BOO he has a tiny holding here and so what he created a hugely successful brand, he is enjoying his wealth.

If anything it is free marketing for PLT.

Agree wolf it is high risk but you can really pick up some bargain basement shares when you’re following the share like a hawk. Usually you show far more interest when already invested. I have grabbed a large portion right down at the bottom (low 30s) I suspect that it could be a masterstroke in a couple of years time. Sentiment has already started to change and the share is back on an upward trajectory, how long is the question? I feel the movement of the SP will be dictated by the next set of results and the guidance that goes with it.

I was expecting a re-rate after the positive guidance and falling interest rates. Small volume and a couple of chunky sells have sent this down.

Surprised Superdry is still trading...It was decent about 15 years ago lol

I have around 2000 I think there will be light at the end of the tunnel here. It could be a very long wait though.

I expect to see more short reductions in the coming days. Shock Marshall Wace are once again ahead of the curve. I will be paying close attention to these guys with any future investmens they seem to correctly predict the future.
