Finley remains bullish.
At RetailX Autumn Retail Festival, we heard from Debenhams Group's CEO, Daniel Finley, on how the brand is supercharging its digital presence and "showing up at its best" across its own DTC platforms, new channels and international territories.
Debenhams is working with Pinterest to show up earlier in customers' online discovery journeys, with UK MD Beth Horn describing how shoppers on its platform search products in a more organic, unintrusive and multi-dimensional way when considering a purchase.
Looking ahead to Peak Trading, Finlay's outlook remains upbeat. "Regardless of concerns about the Budget, the British consumer loves and will always come out for Christmas. Irrespective of whatever else happens, customers will be out in force this Christmas," he said.
