Paulley I think DEBS is a genuine turnaround, I would be suprised if a takeover happened there. ASOS is a far better candiate to be taken over. Demolition job on the fixed costs, streamline the business and you have got a huge business at massive discount. The platform/stock is the best I have seen ASOS in years. It has actually done remarkably well to weather a £1bn stock holding post pandemic (we can thank Nick Beighton for that calamity). ASOS has the better corporate image, no scandals and by far the more interesting ownership structure. Polvenson, Frasers and Barker all have the fire power and the backing to make a move here. But which one will?
