That said, myself and other members of CAG would not have sunk countless man hours and accumulated a vast amount of evidence, and then sought legal counsel if we weren’t sure of having a case. We do have a very strong case and, having reviewed a lot of the evidence, MC is totally in line with our thinking. We have been wronged and we will right that wrong.

I believe he suggested 6 to 10 weeks, at that point he’d advise us on forward strategy, who to hit and why. Stage two is actually launching the actions against the parties concerned. This stage is on a no win, no fee basis.

FB, that aside, I do believe you’re confusing ‘Matter Management’ with ‘Case Management’ in legal proceedings. Matter management covers the firms ‘big picture’, more of a compliance role, as previously mentioned. Case management (MC), is exactly that, it’s the person who takes responsibility for individual cases and heads it up. MC is our Case Director, we’ll suggest he refers to himself as such in future communications. Thanks for flagging it up though.

However, if you have any doubts about the class action, please contact Mr Cotter himself, you’ll have his email address and it is their firm that you’ll be signing a contract with, not CAG. If, after seeking clarification, you are still in doubt then simply don’t take part. We have been very open from the start that this may not be for everyone, it’s a personal choice. I’ve made my decision, you make yours.

That’s quite possibly what happened. They were secured creditors, quite different to shareholders in any pecking order. Very frustrating, but our legal position is quite different to that of a secured creditor.

We have confirmed with MC - Joel is their head of compliance, hence the listing. MC confirms that he is leading the case and that Joel will not have any day to day involvement. It’s very much Michael’s baby.

From a practical view point, CAG can assure you that MC is leading the case. He is our sole point of contact.

Summit agreed an out of court settlement with BP and, as it’s out of court, we might never know what the deal was. COPL have requested an extension to conclude the deal, BP having written to the court agreeing to drop their objection, subject to said agreement with Summit.

Michael Cotter is leading the case, although Joel Barry will be be assisting him.

There has already been a resolution to the battle between Summit & BP. That part is old news. The 20th only indicates the date the stay extension runs out.

Angus, MC and his team are working through a huge job at present, but we believe invoices are imminent, they’ll land when they land. This was never going to be a quick process, but things are progressing well and the support shown has been very, very positive.

SB, there’s little we can tell you about Curbstone and Mr Marcel that isn’t in the public domain. They appear to be currently listed, but unlikely to be a buyer for COPL’s assets. Unfortunately, the stay period has been extended to the 20th of this month, so COPL can still hide behind that until that point and employ anyone they want to run operations without reporting it. As to who’s picking up the bills, we simply don’t know. It’s frustrating as hell, but that’s the reality we’re faced with. We’re keeping as close an eye as possible on what’s going on, but we’re not being told much - with legal action imminent, many parties are nervous about commenting at present. We’re currently trying to find out more and will share when we have anything, as we did with the reworks and the CO2 info.

Yes, BB, he’ll be very keen to get to the bottom of that one.

Yes, Jeffrey Marcel is currently in charge of field operations. Ex Denbury, who were taken over by Exxon. We understand that they carried out one new well recompletion within the last week or so, plus possibly experimenting with CO2 as an injectant. That’s all we can say at this point.

Maid, I was merely clarifying the facts, I can’t recall any questions that I’d describe as awkward. However, my apologies if I made you feel silly in any way whatsoever, that was absolutely not my intention.

Hearing was a 16 minute rubber stamp exercise. US court apparently waved it through yesterday. BP have left town having get their settlement, they didn’t even attend the hearing. Stay extension granted until 20th, purely to sign the papers.

Maid, sorry, but you’re simply wrong. Find an agreement is what the judge asked them to do previously, and they have done it. Summit are merely seeking the extension to the 20th July in order to paperwork a done deal. They have settled. As an out of court settlement, we may never actually find out the detail.
