The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Sometimes it is nice to be childish and have a bit of fun - no one is taking predictions as law. It’s a bit of frivolity, enjoy it. I am 57 and occasionally like to remove the 50.
I hope the most outlandishly positive prediction is the accurate one.

Well I would accept the original£2.06 at the moment and be ecstatic. Holding long, I know we will get there in the end and our patience will be rewarded. I have found that nothing worth having arrives quickly or easily, and the reward will be savoured all the more for the patience. Perseverance produces endurance and endurance produces character (that’s from oldest, best selling book in the world). Not going to argue with that.
Upwards and onwards ( suppose it should be downwards and onwards)
Keep holding

I have never reported anyone before, but to call someone a ‘kid fiddler’ is totally unacceptable. It is libellous to the person involved. To disagree with an opinion is one thing, but that sort of remark should have no place on any bb.
Shame on you .
May all the decent people on this board, and that’s the majority, stand beside Hydro in this.

Hi,
Just want to wish everyone well and glad that we are all still here (in more ways than one!)
I have only held since just under 6p and have only 75,500 shares because it was all the spare money we had after a bad investment. I really want to thank people like Bamps, Paddy, Hydro, Bottle, Zoros and others who have shared knowledge because you all helped me keep my nerve and hold on when it fell from 38p. I really believe this is going to strike way above that, given time and I can see my small (but big to me) investment making our lives much more comfortable in a few years time. I owe a debt of gratitude to the person that recommended this share as sxx was folding, and to those more knowledgeable than I, that have kept me holding.
Many thanks and GLA
Ruth
I wish you the very best for the future and will pray for you and your ministry.
If you haven’t heard of them, look up OAC Ministries , they have some great ways to share the good news.
May God bless you and those you’re called to serve

Hi Fred,
It’s a hard lesson isn’t it, but at least we both learned something.
That’s what is so great about this board; there are genuine investors like Paddy and Bamps and many more that share their knowledge. Had I been here first, their knowledge would have made me more aware and I would have known what to be looking out for - better late than.never eh!
Cheers
Ruth
Hi Delighted,
I truly hope that this works out for you, but must admit it made me a bit concerned too. We did that with SXX and lost almost everything. I read about GGP when everything had gone belly up at SXX and this share has seen our losses recovered. This share is much safer due to better BoD and joint venture - and myriad other things, but please take care, because there’s no 100% safe share.
GGP has been our life savings saver, and I am very grateful, but once this really takes off and we are able to retrieve a little nest egg, it will be the end of my investing days. Having invested first time with the heart (Yorkshire lass) and losing out, I consider myself fortunate to have found GGP, but I will never invest more than I can afford ever again. Take care friend.
I truly believe this will be a life changer, for many it already is, but I think this is an exception and unique; lesson learned for me.
Kind Regards to all,
God bless,
Ruth
PS. Great post Doors, brilliant humour
Daveri007, you are very unpleasant and I really wish you would not be so insulting. If I or others wish to read and believe what Bamps posts, that is up to us, we’re adults. I for one do not need you, with your superior attitude stepping in to save me.Thank you to Bamps and others for your research. 007, just be nice for goodness sake.GLARuth
Hi Bamps,
I had gallbladder removed 3 years ago and have felt fine since. I kept getting infections and that was agony. I have not had any problems since, took a few weeks to recover, but that was because of prior infection etc not the operation. If you can get it out, I would do so, you’ll be fine and won’t risk severe pain from complications later if you don’t have it done.
I wish you all the best.
Thank you for all your contributions to this board.
God bless you
Ruth
I understood it, and I am far from sharpest pencil in the case. Read it again if you’re struggling. It’s clear, simple and positive.
Paddy, Hydrogen and others have taught me loads, because they make it understandable to the layman.
As Yoda might say, If knowledge you seek, open your mind you must. Clear will it become.
Enjoy the journey.
Kind Regards
Ruth
Dear TMT,
Your loss is unimaginable and heartbreaking and I am praying for you and your family. I lost both my parents, and that was hard, but I cannot even contemplate losing my husband, do not even want to imagine that.
I notice you said you both had I can only offer you the solace of knowing that your beloved is now in a better place than the rest of us. I don’t know if you and I share the same faith, but your God, if like mine, will carry you through, He sees and shares your pain and loves you.
You will come through all this, life will not be the same, but you had something and someone very special, life cannot be the same - but one day you will smile at something that would have made your love smile. You will look at your grandchildren and see your wife and feel pride instead of pain, and you will be able to rejoice in the memories- just not yet awhile, but it will happen.
I think we have seen such huge numbers of deaths on the news this year, that in a way, we have become blasé - thank you for reminding me that each loss is profound and each is a heartbreak for someone.
May your God carry you and your family be strengthened in love and unity at this time,
Kindest Regards
Ruth
