Its been a long time coming and at times I never thought the day would come.

It keep climbing but I do think we will start to see an adjustment soon. Lots here have been in this game long enough, it doesn't climb up forever(certainly Barcs!)

I hope it doesn't drop but I am in for the long haul so can see a movement down in the next 4 weeks.

@Rookie1 - I read @belgrano message that he understood your workings due to share dilution however £8 in 2008 would be worth £16 today so these shares are still cheap (actually half price!!). I could be wrong and just made this conversation even more confusing!!!

Yes agree, look a great set of results. I expect the price to rise but many a time the opposite happens when I think 1/4ly results look solid!!

I was the same. Decided to offload some but see them at 309, couldnt trade and before you know it, back to 275!

I thougth the Dow and S&P would be hammered reading bits over the weekend. They were positive earlier and the Eagle is now up on the day!!

Its a sit tight for me at the minute. As long term posters may remember, my portfolio (for various reasons) is very unbalanced toward Barclays (got a little better in recent months as did manage to shift a few a little while back - premature as always!!)

I was planning to shift a few more over the next couple of weeks but that may have to wait now depending on the how we move!

I obviosuly dont know your holiding, but if you sold at 298 instead of 300 you are risking not getting out for an extra .67% after all this time.

A near 20p swing during trading.

Would say todays rise is based on the news that we dont expect a rate cut now in August. Markets are saying a 60% chance of no change. Sept it is showing as 67% chance of a reduction.

We had a number of long term holders (me included) that were waiting for the change to 'get out' of this!

What have you done?

I reduced my holding by around 1/3 (offloaded c12k shares and I now know I was premature with the sale - story of my life!!!!)

Seems pretty basic advice from the CMA, these 3 are their top tips:_

1. Look further than the closest vet

2. Ask if there are other treatment options

3. If it’s not urgent, consider buying the medication elsewhere

I mean if that is what they are coming out with then how many others businesses should they look at, Opticians, Dentists, Physios, Petrol Stations spring to mind but I am sure the list could go on!

Opticians are the ones for me, my Mrs got some glasses from a large High Street chain, must have been 3-4 times the price of other places! Yes she could have gone elsewhere but they dont make it thagt clear!! What are they going to impose, cant sell medication on the day, have to tell customers it could be cheaper elsewhere (what business in their right mind would tell a customer when buying something, you can get cheaper elsewhere) It would be like going into a nice bar and being charged £6 for a pint and them telling you its only £3 in Wetherspoons!

Yep, ever since I typed that it cant breakthrough the 10.00 'electric fence' it has gone over (shows what I know!!!)

Steviewonder77/ I get what you are saying but this just looks like its just being traded in a range. The market is a 'game' lots of the time and fundamentals go out the window!
