I think we will see very positive results in a couple of weeks.

I dont think you will see a Share Buyback at 1/4'ly results.

As far as I am aware they tend to happen at Full Year and Half year (I could be wrong!)

Just see todays RNS has confirmed that the latest buyback is not completed. Still not sure what impact this has on the price each day but must have helped over the last couple of months in some way!!

The Company announces that, following the purchase of these shares, the share buy-back programme announced on 29 July 2022 has completed. Since the commencement of the buy-back, the Company has repurchased for cancellation 306,326,717 ordinary shares in aggregate at a volume weighted average price of 163.2241p per ordinary share for a total consideration of approximately £500 million.

Got out at 17.08 a couple of days back. Small profit but all profit is good profit!!! Will keep an eye here to return.

So we have just dipped below the 150 line. What will we see next.

I see the share buyback is around 80% done. Will that further impact the price when complete with less buys.

I know this board is very quiet but been a drop the last few days.

I have got in for a small amount at 15.89.

It seems to drop every few months to this level but gets back 17.5-18 fairly quickly.

I though tyou was going to right for a while The Reducer! But a decent day as that 170 (or just below) seems to have some resistance and we finsihed up.

I dont understand TA like some on here but have started to have a look at things. Cant really get my head around it but this 'cheat sheet' I find quite intersting.

Todays high stopped at exactly the 1 month high and fell back. The more I see things like this the more I think there is something in it! I just dont have the patience/time to learn it all!

Yes the same as MCMLXVII! Not loads but I shifted a few on Friday at 169.2. Was thinking they may drop back to c160ish and I would get some more.

Not sure why the sudden jump this morning. H results coming soon so maybe something in that.

The challenge with the buy back is its hard/impossible to see the impact on the share price. SP has had a nice little run in August so far but seems to be taking a breather the last few days!

I agree with 2.5% (2.75% is outside chane IMO)

Think we will have .25% each one with the outside chance of a .5% in either Nov or Dec

All annouced. Staying as PM to Autumn. What will this do to markets. Bumpy ride to come I say.

The pay increase is mentioned as being the annual rise brought forward from March. So some staff (and its less than 50%) are getting 7 months early. So 7 (months) x £100 per month (£1200 pa) x 35,000 (staff) = £24.5m - Nothing that small would impact the share price!!!

I read simlar last night and thought that the same. Was expecting a sharp drop in early trading with all that is going on in BoJo's office and unceertainty. What do I know!! Markets are up early doors!

Sharepurchase is always done on or around 9th from memory.
