Hi Evesie... Next XD date is 3rd March I believe. What is driving this current increase, who knows! Interest rate rises that are on the horizon will makes banks a more profitable business, that may be factored in. Upcoming EOY results albeit a few weeks away yet may be better than expected and start to be priced in. Long may it continue.

Looking at a histroic chart you had c730 back in March 2007, last time we was over 300 was back in 2013 and not seen over 200 for more than 3 years now.

I do think we will see c210 over the next 12-18 months, that is purely based on increased divi (that I think we come), solid profits each quarter and potential for some Interest Rate rises over that timeframe.

FI - I am guessing the change of heart follwing this post "Done the last trade, no more buying cos it has reached my buying limits" was a further drop. What if this drops further. You was at £900pp (which for me would be huge!) so not sure what "Have added a lot more at 176.96p." means now per point. I only very briefly dabbled in spreads but got stopped out a few times so only now buy actual shares. Good Luck

It went ex-divi a while back. All holders can look forwars to 1p per share on Thursday.

Mr A - What was you expecting to see with the buyback? This is c16% of the planned buyback and it was presented that the full £700m equates to 4p per share, therefore so far you can say we are not even a penny per share better off. As said before, not sure we will ever really see it in the price. If 182.2p is today’s close, without the buyback it could have been 181.4p. Unless I am missing something!

I’m a novice compared to others on this board but for me how can we ever tell! It was stated that the buyback was equivalent to 4p per share. Friday was c4% of the overall buyback so not even 0.2p of benefit. Who knows if the price would have been down a further 0.2p on Friday! (That’s my understanding but could be wrong!)

14,691,600 buyback on Friday at avg 181.

Still a lot more to be purchased to get to that 700m

It was more is there any typical movement when a gap is filled? I have since seen the post furter down that gives Sigma's view.

So what does that mean for the share price? Does it reduce now the gap has gone. As you can tell, I dont really understand all this Technical stuff :)

Been a decent couple of weeks for the price. I think we will see £2 break out in the next 6 months and then maybe back to 230 in 2022. More hoping than any fact :)
