Don't think anyone is resistant to a share buyback - especially when the shares are this undervalued! The company would be buying its own shares for less than they're worth which creates value for shareholders, and also reduces the likelihood of a takeover too which is nice (I believe at least)

With no due respect ma5k or whatever your name is, as someone who did daytrading at a hedge fund, I say you couldn't be more wrong about "market forces winning out". The only force that wins in the end is the fundamentals. Technicals are so unimportant for share investing, our strategy for shares was "look at the broker concensus, if it says buy then take a position" on a share.

We only applied technicals to forex trading because about 5 trillion worth of transactions goes through everyday, they are much more liquid and fast-paced than share trading. The only thing that matters with shares is whether the company is making money and will be more profitable in the future than it is today.

This controversy is getting juicy! Not invested here but definitely considering it given the massive fall recently. Is this a good level to buy in?

Another, slightly different but simple valuation: Mcap is now 72m, for this to get to 720m it has to 10 bag, assuming shares in issue stays the same. if it's trading on the PE ratio of 20 as you suggested, if we divide 720m by 20 we get 36m. So BGO has to achieve earnings 36m to support a valuation where this 10 bags. It should be able to do that easily in future!

I think I must have bought in right at the 180 or thereabouts mark. The higher peak than that was 250, so I really hope this gets to 3 quid and beyond, which should be doable.

The point of a trading update is not to say what the company's current profit is, it's just to update us. And it is a good update. if you're a weak holder that's not our fault

It's got nothing to do with operational gearing. It's about the fact that Bango can scale up the revenues it makes without increasing costs of doing business, because they've tested their high tech systems to work at huge scale, and therefore do not have the traditional issues associated with a business that is rapidly expanding and growing its sales

Hi all, quick question, during a share buyback, does the company hold the shares in treasury, or are they just redeemed/unlisted? I get the basic idea of why a buyback is done, especially for a company that is undervalued as they are (basically buying their own shares at a discount!)

Hi all, I'm late to the party as just read the RNS on my lunchbreak. Surely this is very, very exciting news? There's now a vanadium electrolyte product being rented out there to a company, who are using it to add value to their own clients. Surely we are one of the first companies in the world to make money through a model like this, and therefore it should open up opportunity for other producers, and also interest other potential clients of electrolyte rental? Hopefully this is a huge endorsement

I doubt it. Any holders here will fiercely defend us from takeover with their votes, and FM cares about shareholder interests.

A share buyback is a good way to reward holders - if the company has a giant load of spare money it's not doing anything particularly useful with. Companies need to retain income for emergencies, and in case of a rainy day or a bad year, but if it has a lot of free cash and just wants to do something to create more value for shareholders, a buyback is pretty good.

I don't see why BMN would do a buyback currently, so I would just continue to accumulate when funds are available.

Warren Buffett once said "If you wouldn't buy more, you should be selling". I am desperate for funds to top up in here, cheaper than the level I bought in. When this was at 48p I was about 15 grand in profit or so, and I plan to be in much more profit than this.

Daisan, I agree generally PE ratios don't tell you the value of a company, but they are helpful for investors who want to figure out whether they're getting a company cheaply or paying a hefty price for its growth. A low PE ratio suggests a good margin of safety, since we all know the price of an investment is a big part of whether it's a good idea or not. Buying the best company in the world when it's overpriced may be a terrible idea.

Buying when the company is seemingly undervalued/cheap is what gives the ben graham/warren buffett style investors confidence. Everyone here has such a deep knowledge of the fundamentals of the company, that mostly what we hear about the balance sheet and accounts of BMN is "it's making profit". Most of the discussion here is about qualitative features of the company.

Less indepth mining or energy related investors like me are therefore very appreciative of all the research. Knowing the PE is low only helps that
