I don't see any reason to invest in retail banks in the UK personally. I was in ALD before it got bought out and made a small profit on it, I was in profit on PCF, which I think will still 5 bag to this day, but when you have 2 prospects for very good investments, you have to go with the one which is superior of the 2, and am still in the process of choosing the "superior" investments, of which WRES will form a part!

I have a very delayed pension transfer which I am looking to use to in part buy into WRES. I have had to sell my passive tracker fund to use the proceeds in order to fund the investments, and will maybe buy back into the tracker fund when the transfer completes.

So, I expect to pick up at least a small holding in this, this week.

I'm a BMN holder, just cottoned on to this by looking through a few pages here and seeing the WRES website with the reports section, gonna have a nice little read of that later and hopefully soon I'll be a long term holder here too

I would rather not see companies make this move, which they often do when CEOs see they are throwing off a lot of cash and think they have to constantly be doing "something" rather than nothing, so start to look for acquisitions to make. I'd rather they just focused on the task at hand, or if they really want to do "something" rather than nothing with the money, to just give it back to shareholders, either with dividends or a share buyback.

I'm always wary of the looming threat of a takeover. My only hope is we can build enough of a private investor shareholding to fend a bid off. Hopefully the amount of shares in issue won't be diluted also.

I don't follow TW or the company, is he actually compiling evidence to send to the FCA? I hope he is, because investors in this company have been robbed

Exactly what I was about to say! That's why I sold out of my 2nd biggest holding and shot it into BMN, for it to instantly double the profit I was in over that one. I'm eagerly awaiting for 39.95 to go to 40p here...I don't have Level 2 info so rely mostly on the well informed people here to report the goings on, which you all do greatly.

Some book recommendations for a new investor - The Zulu Principle by Jim Slater, and One Up on Wall Street & Beating The Street both by Peter Lynch. Warren Buffett's Letters to Shareholders which are freely available on the internet are also great.
