Europe set to open mixed amid data, earnings4 Feb 2026 07:07
European markets are poised for a mixed start on Wednesday as investors are getting ready for a day full of economic data and corporate earnings. Key PMI reports from Germany, the wider European Union, and the United Kingdom will be released, alongside EU inflation figures, producer prices, and Italian inflation data. Traders are also digesting a wave of earnings reports from major banks, including UBS, Santander, and Credit Agricole, as well as pharmaceutical giants Novartis and GSK.
At 8:00 am CET, the DAX futures decreased 0.44%, the British FTSE 100 gained 0.42%, and the Euro Stoxx 50 was flat. Simultaneously, the CAC 40 went 0.50% up.
The euro traded flat against the US dollar, selling at $1.18292, while the pound advanced 0.13% against the greenback at 7:59 am CET, to go for $1.37133, respectively.
