Europe down in premarket ahead of PMI reports2 Dec 2024 07:01
Major European stock markets traded lower during premarket hours on Monday, ahead of the reports on the business activity in the manufacturing sectors of the Eurozone, Germany, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Investors also awaited the report on the euro area's unemployment rate, which will be published later today.
The DAX fell by 0.61% at 7:39 am CET, while the FTSE 100 was down by 0.09%. At the same time, the CAC 40 declined by 0.58%. A minute later, the Euro Stoxx 50 dropped by 0.37%.
The euro lost 0.48% against the dollar and sold for $1.05318 at 7:41 am CET. Meanwhile, the pound slipped by 0.36%, selling for $1.26987 at 7:59 am CET.
