Europe down in premarket ahead of earnings reports27 Jan 2025 07:01
Major European stock markets traded lower during premarket hours on Monday as investors prepared for a week full of earnings reports from major companies. Ryanair already posted its report on the third quarter of its fiscal 2025, while investors anticipated reports from LVMH, T-Mobile, Deutsche Bank, Shell, Roche, Sanofi, and others. Major American companies, including Meta, Microsoft, Tesla, Intel, and Apple, are also set to publish their earnings reports later this week.
The DAX declined by 0.19% at 7:38 am CET, while the FTSE 100 decreased by 0.17%. At the same time, the CAC 40 dropped by 0.21%. The Euro Stoxx slipped by 0.11% at 7:39 am CET.
The euro was down 0.31% compared to the dollar at 7:42 am CET, selling for $1.04620. Meanwhile, the pound lost 0.25% against the dollar and sold for $1.24549 at 7:43 am CET.
