Europe mostly higher premarket with earnings, data in focus13 Feb 2025 07:04
Major stock indexes in Europe traded mostly with gains as investors assessed fresh financial results by Thyssenkrupp, Siemens, Nestle and Commerzbank. On the economic front, market participants awaited key economic reports, such as German and Swiss inflation and British gross domestic product, foreign trade and industrial production.
The DAX added 0.34%, and the FTSE 100 dropped 0.16% at 8:00 am CET. At the same time, the CAC 40 advanced by 0.31%, while the Euro Stoxx 50 improved by 1%.
The euro gained 0.37% compared to the dollar, selling for $1.04304 at 7:58 am CET. Simultaneously, the pound traded 0.35% higher against the greenback to go for $1.24882.
