Europe futures lower ahead of UK data, ECB speeches12 Jun 2025 07:07
European markets are set for a lower open on Thursday as investors await key UK economic data, including April's trade balance, monthly GDP, and industrial production figures, due before the bell. Several European Central Bank officials are also set to speak throughout the day, offering further clues on the policy outlook. Meanwhile, investors appear largely indifferent to the latest developments of the US-China trade deals.
At 8:00 am CET, the DAX futures decreased 0.59%, the British FTSE 100 dropped 0.40%, and the Euro Stoxx 50 lost 0.74%. Simultaneously, the CAC 40 traded flat.
The euro traded 0.39% higher against the greenback at 7:58 am CET, to go for $1.15323 while the pound gained 0.32%, selling at $1.35881, simultaneously.
