It looks like from the picture on page 15 that the Moditope peptide is taken up by the APC and that in turn adds it to the CD4 cell or am I missing something?

Sorry to be pedantic Inan, but does the priming of the CD4 cell involve adding something to it to allow it to recognise the cancer peptide?

OK thanks for that Inan. Moditope is a peptide vaccine, as the modified Epitopes are so immunogenic no modification is needed of the T cells they are only primed differentiate format of TH1 pro inflammatory When you say "the T cells they are primed ", what exactly do you mean by "primed"

Thanks Wild In the video, Lindy talks about binding. Once the appropriate antibody has the capability of binding strongly with a tumour then the antibody is in business. So, for example in Moditope, Lindy has: a) identified a unique molecule expressed by the tumour b) devised a way to modify CD4 killer cells to add a molecule that will bind strongly with the unique molecule of the tumour c) Once bound the CD4 killer cell finds the tumour and kills it d) Healthy cells remain untouched since the molecule expressed by the tumour does not exist is healthy cells. e) Moditope is particularly powerful because the CD4 cells are very good at killing once they have found something to kill In the platform recently announced the molecules being targeted are malformed sugars. The 3 platforms so far announced do not overlap since each platform is designed to seek out and bind with different types of molecules. Am I doing OK?

Just terminology Wild. We have excellent SCIB1 results from a trial of 14 patients. So, I agree, and I am optimistic about Immunobody. I have actually starting teaching myself about the science. I think it will take me months to fully understand it (if ever). But, already, I am beginning to understand why Lindy's science is so special. She searches for a molecule on the surface of a tumour that is unique to that tumour. That is half the battle. The 2nd half is to then find a clever way to subtly change the immune system to recognise that molecule as an enemy and destroy it. The other clever bit is that because the molecule only exists on that tumour, the immune system will not cause any damage to healthy cells. Not all tumours types are the same (far from it) so Lindy has to find a molecule that is peculiar to that tumour type. And this is why Lindy has so far invented 3 separate platforms. The advantage over CheckPoint Inhibitors is that these can sometimes cause damage to healthy cells as well as tumours, hence the side effects. Am I on the right lines? ATB

We have a dozen professors working alongside Lindy in the grand challenge. We have a collaboration with BionTech. We have 2 of the IIs that are specialist science-based VCTs. ONW, Firstly, I don't know what you think my background is apart from supporting a great footy team LOL We have 6 IIs and this is wonderful for a company with such a small MCAP. This includes L&G and that is a feather in our cap. In fact they have invested twice. Many fund managers simply would not touch a small biotech with a 50mil MCAP. We are still a company very much under the radar despite all the news items this year. For this reason it is unlikely that an Ambramovich will even know about us. As Wild said yesterday, a low SP gives us the chance to increase our holdings, should we want to. In fact, if you want publicity, a win in the Grand Challenge, may well give us that. This is a possible not a certainty. So, we are doing really well on the II front. ATB

Well, since 14th Dec (6 months 1 day ago) we have had the following news items. You can argue that the Placing/OO was bad news but I don't think IIs thought this. They filled their boots. Inan Do we know whether it was Roche that we almost did a deal with over immunoabody?

I totally agree that the more successful trials we have under our belt, the bigger the price will be. As I said, the lack of a deal may be purely down to Big Pharma's CI obsession. If we win the Grand Challenge and also do a deal with BionTech, then it greatly strengthens our negotiating position.

I think all LTHs suffer from a sense of frustration about the lack of a deal of some form. We were promised by RG that a deal for Immunobody would be made. I am sure that not achieving that deal is what lost him his job as joint CEO. We were told that a deal was almost made but I guess we will never know how close we were to a deal. Lindy losing her job as joint CEO was a good move since it left her free to develop the science, So now have a new CEO who has promised that we are close to monetising our assets via a deal with BionTech. He has been in the job for less than 6 months so the jury is still out on CH. But in my mind he is already guilty of not defining what "close to" means in his original statement. He has since clarified that Scancell have not yet started commercial discussions with BionTech. Big Pharma have been obsessed with CIs and paid huge prices for companies with promising technology in this area. Perhaps the tide is finally turning and they now realise that CIs alone are not enough. The lack of a deal so far may have been due to this obsession. So, a deal with BionTech is of enormous importance. Before this happens there is the little matter of the Grand Challenge. Should we win this, then this may give us the long awaited publicity that is fully deserved and also be a boost to the SP (I stress may).

Ipad Yes, but patience is the name of the game. The herd will move when it moves, who can say when. Plus there is no Clint Eastwood around to stop the herd.

C7 Well we have 5 products. a) 1 has been proved in 1 clinical trial and is soon to enter another. b) 2 more are soon to have clinical trials c) 1 will be in clinical trial prep next year d) 1 is the subject of the grand challenge. Lets call a) a magic bullet and b) to d) semi-magic since they have still to be proved in human trials. Then we have a further semi-magic bullet in the form of the collaboration with BionTech. Then we have a 3rd platform which perhaps well call a potential magic bullet. So, yes I got excited and overstated. But the point I wanted to make is that we don't want a SP rise based on hot air.

Look at the charts from 3 months up to 3 years and you see for the first time in years we are seeing higher highs and higher lows. We look to be in the foothills. We are all impatient for Everest but lets do it with the science not some rich guy taking a fancy to us that may just have a temporary effect on the SP. Also compare the science from Moditope announcement to now. Lindy is improving it all the time. To the layman, the science is complex, but then we are talking about cutting edge modern science not Pythagorus's Theorem. Yes, we could do with a layman's guide to each product (something that Inan has suggested in the past in the form of corporate videos). Why look for a non-existent magic bullet when we have enough already.
