ONW, let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. We have to win the Grand Challenge first. And there are a lot of ifs and buts in my post. Lets' see what the upper echelons have to say. I think this is a different kettle of fish. SCIB1 has been designed specifically for Melanoma. What Lindy is looking for in the SCIB1 combo trial is that Keytruda's blocking capability will make SCIB1's job easier. It certainly does in mice. So, if this particular trial works as well as it does in mice then Merck will become really interested in Scancell. On the other hand, the Grand Challenge sounds as though it is aimed at answering: "Which variant(s) of Modi3 will be most effective at treating a particular patient with a particular cancer" The advance diagnostics gives the answer to this question by identifying the relevant molecules/part molecules found on tumour surfaces for this patient. Then Modi3 does the rest. If this is the case, then what an Ambitious Project! You could imagine when Lindy was recruiting for this project, profs were lining up shouting "Pick me, Lindy". A bit like choosing football teams in the playground LOL

Yes, what I would like to do is the following: a) gain a much better understanding of the science with the help of the posters who know the science pretty well b) create a layman's version of the science and find a web site to post it on That way people who don't want to know the science in great detail can look at the layman's version. That's my aim but with work commitments it will probably take a few weeks or months to have a document covering all of Scancell's science. But perhaps by this weekend I will have a first draft covering Moditope. So, if anyone has a favourite website for posting documents please let me know.

All this and we haven't really discussed the CD4 cloning process. We have only touched briefly (Inan again) about what happens when an activated CD4 encounters the cancer and how how the CD4 army is called into action. Once again, thanks to everyone involved

Yes, I haven't quite got to grips with all the key components of the immune system yet. But what I am saying is that possibly the APC can present the T Cell with something new and the process is clever enough to create an encoded T Cell based on this never before seen peptide. But, yes, lets wait

Is this about the ability of the immune system to create a new type of antibody when something appears in the blood stream that it has not encountered before? So, perhaps the docking process presents the T cell with a peptide it hasn't seen before. This triggers a process that creates an encoded T cell that is able to bind to the cancer peptide. When I say encoded I don't exactly know what I mean by this. Just a thought

Thanks Boom So, the activated T cell must be in some way different to what it was before the docking? Something must have changed in the T Cell even if no molecules have been added. The cloned cells must also have inherited this change.
