I would say that granting a patent is largely outside Scancell's control. Sure, Scancell may have to answer questions and argue thier case from time to time.

I suppose the UK arm of the trial is like an insurance policy in case the US proves to be 6 months or more. However, worst case scenario is that we have similar delays in the UK. Let's hope we get a pleasant surprise with an announcement that preparation for the UK trial are well advanced

My understanding is that Biontech's TCR technology is aimed at producing the exact same tcells as moditope the vaccine. It just cuts out the middleman I.e. the APCs. So, proof that Moditope the vaccine works also means that Biontech's method should also have the same success.

Yes, and as an added bonus we have a scib2 trial funded by CRUK. The modi1 trial has the added importance in that Biontech may not commit (damn, am I using that word again) to a deal until they have at least seen some preliminary results from this trial.
