You would have thought they started sounding out prospective partners as soon as they were clear they were going to take a shot at this.
Who knows where they are now.
But I would think they want to do a deal pretty quickly due to their cash situation.
They would need cash to at least see them through designing the vaccine and testing on animals and perhaps the vaccine manufacture. Then depending how good the vaccine is, they would want cash for a phase1/2 trial.
Milestone payments in other words.

One point that occurs to me is that some trials have started remarkably quickly, so are rules about manufacture before a clinical trial being started being waived by regulatory authorities? Bermuda would probably know more about this than me.
We are in a situation where some regulatory rules will be waived IMO.

For people who are new to this science, PTM stands for post translational modification.
These are tiny changes to the chemical makeup of much larger molecules such as proteins.
These tiny changes present an opportunity as a target for vaccines. The target needs to exist only on the virus (in this case) so healthy cell remain untouched.
One of the hallmarks of Immunobody is that is produces very high avidity TCells primed to go and search for specific targets.
Here avidity means the ability to bind well to the target.
So, an abundance of PTMs is very handy when designing an Immunobody vaccine.

Biontech would be good. Yes, they have their own trials planned with Pfizer backing them. As I understand it, these are mnra vaccines and we know what the CEO of Moderna said about mnra timelines, 20 years if I remember it. Its a very young science.
Plus Ugur may want to get in on the act with his mate Lindy.

I think the important thing is that we learn what differentiates Scancell's approach from the rest of the pack.
To me, the VNabs seem to be key.
We may have to wait to find out how Lindy has achieved this.
The vaccine may appear before the website page describing it.

You attack SARS-CoV-2 in addition to the Covid-19 spike.

Then, as I understand it, if a mutation appears it is a very quick process to change the "spike" target.

Also, you say a virus is easier to attack than cancer.
Is this because the immune system recognises it as "non-self"?

I think a lot depends on how firm Lindy's ideas are.
She does seem to be able to go through the research phase at a fraction of the cost of a big pharma.
The big cost for big pharma does seem to be research and development costs. Surprisingly the cost of a phase 3 trial seems to be a modest $19 million on average.

Another point is that Lindy is not starting from scratch as she already has her platform of choice i.e. Immunobody.
She probably knows already which proteins to target since, presumably, that knowledge is in the public domain.
So, she needs to identify the particular peptides within the proteins in order to finalise the design.
I think we know already how good she and her team are at that. In fact that may already be underway.

Will she use the same nano delivery method as chosen for SCIB2 is another crucial question.

She is going down a similar path to SCIB1 and SCIB2.
She also has an enlarged team that she can call upon - Scancell, Nottingham Uni and Notttingham Trent Uni. Also the Uni staff have more likely than not done work for Lindy before. This is important since speed is of the essence and they will be familiar with her methods of working.
They will all be motivated and keen to be part of what is obviously such an important project. Lindy is so well regarded in all 3 organisations.
