I disagree with that statement. There is no comparison.

I could well be that the first 2 Avidimab collaborations knew about the glycans mABs for some time and were keen to collaborate. They were just waiting for Scancell to complete the research.
I cannot imagine Tesco chasing any individual farmer for milk supplies.

Am I right in saying that an effective vaccine has yet to be found against any coronavirus?
If yes then that suggests that these viruses are particularly hard to defeat. It perhaps needs an immune response that is stronger that anything so far generated.

I'm not saying that immunobody is the answer but with the dual presentation it does activate very high avidity T Cells and induce higher than normal clonal expansion.
Furthermore, a strong CD4 T Cell presence may ultimately prove to be essential to coordinate all the immune components in the fight.
Only time and trial results will tell.

I'm probably letting impatience get the better of me.
Obviously, we are not privy to the really important bits of information that may well exist.
The 3 collaborators may think Avidimab and the Tag mABs are wonderful.
Biontech may be busy doing their side of the collaboration.
Lindy's project may be showing great results on animal testing.

I do think there is possible bias towards certain universities.
But it's something that is impossible to prove one way or another. Just a thought that goes through my mind when the key decision makers are all Oxford graduates.

In this particular case it looks like Robert Peston has been tipped off about results to be published tomorrow.
It does seem strange to me that Lindy's project appears not to have been funded thus far.
When do you think Lindy's project will receive funding?

I think people should be free to make up their own minds whether or not there is bias towards certain universities in allocating research cash.

The search for targets continues. Has Lindy found the perfect set of targets plus the perfect T cell to go after them? Time will tell.

It sounds like you have worked out exactly when we need cash and then gone on a estimate when deals will be done?
Personally, I can't predict when the good news will happen. It would be nice if I could.

To me Lindy has quite possibly researched correctly the key processes that take place in some autoimmune diseases.
She has then used this knowledge to design a vaccine to attack cancer.
The ubiquitous targets she has found, plus finding a type of T Cell that surpassed her expectations (this was maybe the serendipitous element of her discovery) is what makes Moditope so exciting.
It's been a long research and development effort with the addition of amplivant plus the manufacturing problems but hopefully there are no hurdles left to jump over.
Its a personal decision as to whether the current SP is ludicrously cheap. Not worth a long discussion IMO.

LL, I think you will find potential outside cancer for all 3 of Scancell's platforms.

With immunobody any condition that can be helped by a well-targeted CD4/CD8 attack. You certainly get the impression that the role of TCells in clearing viruses is not as well researched as it is in cancer.

With moditope, any condition that exhibits autophagy and results in presentation of citrillunated and/or homocitrullinated epitopes. Lindy, with her background in biochemistry, is not content to just sit back and say "it works" she has also researched the biochemical processes that take place leading to the all important expression of those epitopes.
That is exactly why Karolinska are interested in how moditope works. It appears not so much for moditope itself but the aim may be to break a link in that chain of processes to help prevent autoimmune diseases.

With Avidimab, it is possibly any mAB. Avidity for mABs is not confined to treatment of cancer.

The cd4 cytotoxic cell, in addition to retaining all the properties of the general , it also has cytotoxicity.
Does this sound about right?
