I never try to predict share price movements but I would say that this year there is more upside than downside to Scancell's SP.

As crumbs has pointed out, Covidity uses both Immunobody and Avidiamb. There was a deal in the offing that involved Avidimab but Scancell made the decision to suspend negotiations until they had produced more evidence for its effectiveness thus achieving a much better deal. What better way is there to produce evidence than saving the planet? :-)

I know, that last sentence was tongue in cheek. But Scancell, flush with cash, now have great opportunities (plural) to prove their science.

Whatever it is that makes these people able to fight off late stage cancer, you would maybe put money on Lindy finding out what it is. Then, once she knows that, she would inevitably think "how can I produce a vaccine to do the same in the rest of the population?".
In the same vein is the last paragraph in Lindy's Nottingham Uni resume.

"Future Research
We have identified a common process that occurs in most cancer that can be recognised by the immune system. This would allow us to design a vaccine to stimulate an immune response which would recognise and kill early cancerous cells. This may have to be boosted yearly as for seasonal flu vaccines. It could be given to people at high risk of cancer or to adults over 60 which are the most common age group for this disease."

There's been so much speculation about Covid19 variants and the efficacy of approved vaccines against these variants that Covidity obviously hits a sweet spot. Add to that Lindy's claim that both antibody and TCell responses are possibly better than approved vaccines then it amounts to the right news at the right time.

For people who are new to this BB, Covidity targets both the S and the N proteins of Covid19. The N protein is believed to be fairly constant and it unlikely to mutate. Covidity uses a platform called Immunobody that was designed to create cancer vaccines. So far, there has been 1 clinical trial of this platform (SCIB1) with outstanding results. To this platform Lindy has also managed to incorporate another of her platforms called Avidimab. The result is that Covidity activates TCells with very high binding ability (avidity).

When SCIB1 was peer reviewed, it was speculated that Immunobody may also be useful in controlling virus infections. Now Lindy has a chance to prove just that. The holdup in starting a Covidity trial was the design and testing of the delivery method. Saying it is now only weeks away from a trial must mean that Lindy is now happy with the delivery.

The vaccine is being manufactured by Cobra. There will have to be a toxicity study written (again this is likely to be in progress). We know nothing about a possible partner for Scancell to run a phase 3 trial but I reckon an announcement for this would be after it is clear that the phase 1/2 trial is producing good results.

These people like Dr Hull can obviously mount a very strong immune response that other people in the same situation cannot.
Perhaps they are able to activate cytotoxic CD4 TCells without aid from a vaccine. Its a possibility but it is speculation.

Yes we may have to wait until next week for £8 :-)

I mean there was a rumour going round that we were being sold for £8 a share.
But just a rumour :-)

But joking aside we have a great pipeline of products but little in the way of clinical data. That could change this year since we could get 3 phase 1/2 trials underway and we now have the money (thanks to Redmile and Vulpes) to see those trials through to obtaining data.

Bart and Homer are still asleep but Marge has bought some Scancell shares :-)

That's an interesting video that I have watched a few times now.
At that time Lindy had to beg and borrow from a charity to fund a single research student.
It will be very interesting to see what she and her team can achieve now the financial constraints are greatly reduced.
