Not been checking in as much of late but spotted the amalgamation of trades totaling 1,896,796 for a value of £7.716m at 4.35pm, so it appears that there has been plenty of swapping and changing amongst the ii as sp has been more or less static.
Hope that the ones who want out got fully out and early next week we get an RNS to tell us who is moving in and who has moved out.
No new partner products launched of late but lots in the previous few months, so I assume they will need time to assess how popular they are.
I think we are at an inflection point at 400p ish, betting and gaming companies are out of favour at present but that doesn't make them bad businesses, and PTEC continue to be the go to company for the software requirements of these companies, whilst in the background paying down the debt from the Snaitech acquisition so our sp can start to move up again, reflecting our increased revenues.

I only see positives with shares in treasury, if in the future XLM see's a bolt on it quite likes maybe a deal could be done entirely by XLM shares backed by a tie in period so that they could sell the lot the week after the transaction, or maybe cash and shares.
I get your drift I think in that if XLM dumped a few million quids worth of shares on the open market it most likely would drive the sp down.
Also if things pick up substantially, they still have the option to cancel, I am happy with all options still open so the company has a choice.

Yes his experience speaks for itself, and on paper looks the perfect fit for FCRM, with his varied experience in engineering both mechanical/electrical then construction and services it should be an easy transition for him into the financial workings of our group.
Hopefully this appointment will be seen as a positive for the company and further reassure the market that all is well here.

With no business news, except that an ii has sold their entire holding would you imagine the sp could soar as swiftly has it has.
How much has this been weighing XLM down? can't imagine why they sold so low must of been at a loss, and wanting to get out and not having the opportunity to do so effected the sp negatively over the last twelve months or so, because the news from the company has not been all bad, just the need to readjust in a changing market.
Which if you wanted a company to succeed you would expect them to do, hoping we can maintain our rise, and well done XLM with the share buyback, nice to have the shares in treasury and not cancelled, so maintaining our cash assets of sorts.

Big Dave has been booted out of the Weald, so no longer has any oil interests, perhaps Mr Harris as the former apprentice to Big Dave could entice him back to GUN, and use his knowledge and experience of oil exploration to get the best out of Oyster, with his upbeat twitter comments and banter that's just what GUN needs to raise its profile to a wider audience.
If ever there's a chance to repeat his REM success its here with GUN and his old buddies Harris and Strang.

Wouldn't be surprised if some long term ii wants out, motivated by political correctness and the market knows this, every time we get a slight bounce up to 440p it fades away and a retrace back to 400p.
Fundamentals strong, financially sound after last years Snaitech acquisition, with revenues increasing, Leverage debt/EBITDA 1.22, so well under control.
Can't see much downside buying at these levels at p/e 11.5,
US starting to open up so opportunities for future growth over there, and the brokers recommend PTEC as a buy for what its worth.

I've not seen you post such upbeat opinions before, long may it continue, but it does make you wonder the company trading at a third of its value from previous highs when in the main news has been positive, and setbacks caused from situations FCRM has no control over.
If Bayford do make a move they have timed it to perfection, or manipulated it to perfection or is that taking it to far.

Nice end to what has been a significant week as far as the sp is concerned, and new investors to boot, its also interesting that Bayford are Yorkshire based so local interest there.
This investment doesn't seem inline with the rest of things they are involved in because normally they own them, I don't see a take over on the cards, maybe they just see good value, or some expertise that FCRM have and they want access to, who knows, I don't but really glad they turned up when they did.

A take on the future of gold based purely on price well worth a watch, you may or may not agree with his analysis but I always find his video's interesting, watching with interest here to see how things play out.
The new management seem to know how and what to do to run a gold mine efficiently, the bankers can see that so if they want their money back with interest then to give them support and backing seems the logical choice.

My beef is that when takeovers and mergers occur goodwill/intangibles is a great cover to overpay for a company and load these up with the amount they have overpaid.
I know these values are reviewed by law for the accounts each year and the amount attributed to them checked.
But in real terms how do you change these into cash? I don't think you can, say a company logo, may be recognisable as a brand but in itself worthless.
As company assets goodwill/intangibles probability make up the majority of most companies worth, it just doesn't sit well with me, and Saga is a good example.

Surprised by the fall today after LB finally throws the towel in, pity he just hasn't gone and somebody steps up in the interim.
The news earlier this week about the banking tie up, and offering new services to customers could be a game changer banks don't form alliance's to lose money.
Still can't get my head around the ships I can't see how they will generate enough money to pay off the debt, but all that will be revealed in the results over the next couple of years.
St some point the slide has to stop and the tide turn, after all the write downs were only an accounting exercise the company still made money, and if somebody can explain to me how intangibles/goodwill can be turned into cash I'd be grateful, just numbers in assets column.

Must admit manipulation of the share price has crossed my mind, whether shorted to a much lower price so that they could buy in? who knows, and how they would go about it to achieve their desired price, I am not so sure.
As you say disclosure issue needs some explanation, perhaps they picked all their shares from sellers below 3%
Have Bayford just taken advantage of the weak sp and seized an opportunity to good to turn down.
Hopefully more information will filter though in time.

GUN is an investment company, it speculates and makes investments in others who are doing the proving up or producing, I can't see GUN having the financial muscle or expertise to move Oyster further, to my mind they would be better off selling their stake, take whatever profit comes their way and move on.
Hamish's expertise is wheeling and dealing actually moving a project like this forward I am not sure is his bag.

The market is a strange beast, for all his time at VEC the sp has only gone in one direction, but he did oversee the merger, and he hasn't blown VECs cash pile on ego trips, he has maintained it, taken on GSK and won.
The slow and steady build of revenues and write down of intangibles as necessary gives the impression VEC is a loss making company, which it is for accounting purposes, the increasing cash pile tells a different story.
Its ironic as these charges are decreasing and will eventually stop and the headline figures will show hopefully significant profit to the passing investor this will look like the work of our new CEO and what a great job they are doing, sometimes timing is everything and whoever gets this position should do well.

Only think the sp was overstated due to the fact that we are not trading at that level now, even though I the potential is still there, the figures prove that, just the workings of the market, for what ever reason doesn't think we warrant that valuation.
