As a side interest I got into the climate change warming issue due to co2, only to find co2 is being demonized its only a minute percentage of the atmosphere, beneficial to the greening of the earth, commercial growers pump co2 at 1200ppm into their greenhouses for stronger more pest resistant plants, greater yields and more drought resistance, other major players with climate are the oceans, jet stream and the most important driver the sun.
We are currently entering a grand solar minimum, which means the sun is currently going through a quiet period with less sun spots/output, this can effect the magnetic strength around the poles as they weaken this effects the jet streams with warm air moving up towards the poles cold air down away from the poles, erratic unpredictable weather, also watch out for volcanic activity and earthquakes.
What is happening now is that we are entering a cold weather period, not warming as the media claims, more severe weather, colder weather and most importantly climate change to food growing regions in the US, Canada, Russia, China etc with shorter periods for growing, to wet to plant seed and early frosts at harvesting leading to food shortages.
So the cyclone mentioned shouldn't be dismissed, its something to watch out for, weather events becoming more frequent and more of a problem especially with our new mining area so close to the sea.
You won't find much info in the main stream media but its out there on the net and you won't be able to miss it when/if food security becomes an issue.

Hi Pip, I am aware of KNDC way back to REM days and all the hype when David Lenigas was running the show, researched him and watched from the sidelines but because of him kept away, now's he gone will look again.
EMH I know nothing about so will check that out, was thinking about Vandium batteries BMN, AFC & CWR for Hydrogen so there is a lot to choose from.
The green revolution is coming whether we want it or not, personally I like carbon and feel it's being demonised to justify wind and solar which is unreliable unless you throw nuclear into the mix any mishaps there and problems arise for 100's of years and I am sure they never factor in guarding and storing the waste 24/7 with armed personal incase it falls into the wrong hands.
Hoping FCRM can make a go of it this year, politically they are in the right space smart meters etc all being pushed so fingers crossed.

Whichever way the EV market goes either battery exchange or direct charging the infrastructure we need upgrading, I am wondering wether I should be looking at fuel cell manufacturers as a green investment to pair with FCRM to have this growth area covered. The battery scene is changing all the time with Tesla looking at improving their offerings, probably Harry you are in the best place to judge, in the East they are further advanced in their rollout in my opinion.

If they can't make it pay now with all wcp's in operation, headwinds of a supply deficit, increased grades and all significant capex behind them for 3-4 years then there's no hope for us.

Volume very low, no significant sells, no news reported or anything untoward going on in India, maybe a large sell going through time will tell.
OPG are in good place right now, events are moving in a favourable direction, just as its gone down for apparently no reason hopefully it will go back up again.

After years of over promises and under delivering, according to the LTH's which was true we are finally hitting the nail on the head, why anyone would want to sell now is a mystery with the outlook looking so good.
We are a major player in this market, a low cost producer of a product that is in deficit a great position to be in.

· Total iron ore pellet production rises 22% quarter on quarter to 3.1MT in 4Q 2020, following the successful ramp up of the Group's concentrator expansion project.

· Total full year production of iron ore pellets of 11.2MT in 2020, representing an increase of 7% on 2019.

· Production of high quality 65% Fe and 67% Fe pellets represented 99% of total pellet production in 2020 (2019: 96%).

· Total full year sales volume of 12.1MT in 2020, up 18% on 2019.

· COVID-19 update: Ferrexpo's operations and logistics continued to operate with minimal impact during 4Q 2020.

· Group net cash position as at year end of approximately US$4M, following strong financial and operational performance in 2020. (Net debt position as of 31 December 2019: US$282M). The Group's cash balance as of 31 December 2020 was approximately US$270M (31 December 2019: US$131M).

Impressive strike rate on the drilling which is beginning to confirm all the previous analysis of area, I am starting to believe come the end of the year we will be partenered with someone who has deep pockets to make the most of this.

I have watched a few videos stating that there is a link between gold prices and US bonds, when the bond prices rise gold goes down, seeing US bonds are at low levels they don't have much room to fall lower, so my thoughts are that they are likely to rally a little, and even though there has been all this QE over several years inflation is nowhere to be seen. In fact it's nowhere near the 2% Fed target.
Is gold going lower? I am questioning the usual mantra of inflation is coming show me the evidence, after all these years of cash from nowhere leads to inflation, it looks like the opposite deflation is the natural outcome.
I originally thought QE was all about inflation to reduce government debt in real terms but that is not happening.

Surprised by some of the negative comments regarding hedging its as though they have hedged 100% production rather 30% it still leaves 70% untouched.

Given the increased capital expenditure required to deliver the Cut and Fill Project, CAML has put in place hedging arrangements for a portion of its 2021 metal production. Kounrad's Zero Cost Collar contract for 30% of copper production includes a put option of $6,900 per tonne and a call option of $8,380 per tonne. Sasa's zinc and lead arrangements are swap contracts, with 30% of Sasa's payable zinc production to be sold at $2,804 per tonne and 30% of its payable lead production to be sold at $2,022 per tonne.

Hi Sag, on refection I think that's a fair assessment, as far investors goes we should be aware that a situation exists.
Its reminds me of Azerbaijan/Armenia and the occupation that was ongoing for 30+ years until late last year.
I am in AAZ and they only referenced the conflict to say operations were ongoing and they were not effected.
Its a situation to keep an eye on and see how events unfolds.

Solid performance as expected, the surprise though is the hedging that is being put in place, the reason being protection due to increased capex.
Another reason may be 3 years ago copper prices peaked then fell and what happened to CAML sp it tanked and its taken the rise in copper prices to recover to new sp highs.
Although demand for copper and our other seems to growing my take is that our management have learned lessons from the past.
This time next year we will be debt free with a hefty cash balance, with increasing dividends likely.
The dam breach incident shows you never know what is round the corner and after all the effort to get our sp moving back up looks like a safety first approach.

Boris Johnson told the UN climate body that the UK will end foreign funding for oil and gas projects it announced on Saturday as it works to become a global leader on climate change.

The new environmental policy will still allow for new oil and gas deals to be approved during a “consultation period” due to end on 8 February. There will also be “very limited exceptions for gas-fired power plants and other projects” as part of the new plan.

Presentation from KMR towards the end of last year covering progress from 2017 to date including the recent WCP move, looks forward at expected growth and makes a point about having a varied customer base and the ability move sales to other areas, plus China being a source of increased demand.
Perhaps in presentations like this they should mention political risk so that people are aware of the situation to the north, but up to now this issue hasn't effected KMR.
