Can someone remind what the dividend situation is for genel at the moment?

I'm assuming it's paused for the time being. Is that correct?

I agree with all that you say.

Yet, the cash in the bank is greater than the Mcap,
Currently net cash is ~35% of Mcap,
By year end the net cash will > 50% of Mcap!
Dividend is well covered and yield of around 8%.
P/E is something like 3!
So whilst the update isn't amazing, it's still plenty good enough in terms of financial position.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, the SP is bonkers low.

Just shy of 1/13th of the current market cap received in payments this month.

I don't know what that is but the values of trades are huge.

The article wouldn't load on my phone so I haven't read it, but aren't all hydrogen fuel cell powered car fundamentally electric? The hydrogen is converted to electrical energy via the cell and drives electric motors. I also thought all hydrogen cars had a battery to provide a boost to power when needed.

Not quite cautious enough it seems!
If it does get to ~500p I'll likely top up a bit more.

I don't know, but according to last results if POO is at $90 FCF will be ~$250, and will increase by $50mill for every $10 above 90.
POO at $100 FCF ~$300
at $110 ~$350
at $130 ~$450
So if POO remains at >$130 and with $:£ @0.75, genel's FCF might be £340mill which is around 70% of the current Mcap.
The current share price is bonkers.

An old article from 2019, but reminds me what could have been and some of the reasons why I'd originally invested in Genl. If KRG had done things differently they could have been well on their way to exporting to EU by now, as well earning a fortune from high gas and oil prices.

Originally Wasn't the gas going to go to Turkey, so presumably they would be involved in developing the fields.
No idea if recent events will be good or bad for genel but the high oil and gas price will surely not be a bad thing the SP.

Payment was $39.8mill (c. £30mill in gbp), with a mcap of £415 Mill, that's more than 7% of the mcap received in 1 month.
Yes things have not gone perfectly in many areas, and dealing with the the KRG is a pain in **** but they have continued to pay and also pay their debts. Cash pile is >$314mill (net =€44mill) and growing. At this rate by the end of the year the cash pile will be close to the mcap!
The SP is far too low, but I've been thinking this for years and the market clearly disagrees with me.

Reading some of the messages and links on this board for the past few years I don't ever recall anyone mentioning 'white hydrogen'. I only heard about it recently, its the extraction of geothermal and chemical produced hydrogen from the ground which can be done in a very similar way to conventional methane gas extraction. There was a BBC radio 4 programme talking about it which was very interesting. Apparently there are companies already gearing up for commercial extraction and a demo site somewhere in Africa that's been running for years producing tonnes of the stuff. Sorry I can't remember all the details!
Would be good to know more about it if anyone has info, and what kind of time frame and price points for commercialisation.

I've not sold out completely and think that in the long term cwr will be an excellent investment. As you say, any buys under the last raise (10.35?) is likely a good buy.
I sold a chunk at a stop loss point, and will watch and drip purchase back in.

Hi Boyo, thanks for your thoughtful and useful analysis. I have recently reduced my holding on CWR when the SP hit my stop loss. I'll hold off re-entering for a little while buy keep an eye on things.

The question is, is CWR in an upward of downward trend? By my untrained eye it looks like the bottom of the overall upward trend.

Only other thing I could add is that it seems that trading volume is low at the moment. Perhaps people are just sitting tight until we get some news on recent drilling, any updates on the never ending BB and Miran saga, or some other news.

Sadly I sold out, at a slight loss.
Disappointing as I had high hopes for TGP with its connections to off shore wind.
May buy back in if it drops more, or if things look they are improving.
