PMO may well have scared off anyone interested in farming. A solid , well funded partner would have put themselves at risk by joining PMO and taking a chunk of acreage, when PMO were at risk of collapsing not so long ago. They might have wanted PMO to drop SL, they could have got a better from RKH then.

If PMO make the FID and its a no, I assume it all goes back to RKH ?

The Path finder banks usually put some money in themselves. Nothing so far and maybe they wont find a path.

I can see clearly why Fiona and Jungles amongst others left now. I'm pretty sure they knew dam fine well this wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Yet it was the usual spouted by the BOD. Those leaving was a clear sell signal in hindsight.

Sam is still making a shed load of money and can drag this on for anther 5 years and would still be OK if this collapses. Its been 8 already, 8 years of "We are making progress towards development" etc etc. XEL were saying the same sort of things.

I am happy to be proved wrong and I have never said this will 100% fail. Im just not convinced that 2 skint partners can take this on. It is going to take a ground breaking deal with Export Finance etc to make this work. Maybe they will and it will pave the way for others who cant find Farm In partners. Thats the reason they are trying this route I'm sure.

I will not accept that the 2014 drop in Oil Price is the main reason, no body was biting their hands off for a piece of this in the 2 years previous to that unforeseen event when Oil was at $120. Its now over 8 years since discovery and the money in the bank is dwindling. I really hope they dont make another acquisition either

Not if that means giving them some of the reserves found in FI waters, that can never happen! It would validate their claim to them and be disastrous for RKH! RKH suddenly having only half of their Oil!!

This Oil was always going to be a slap in the face for Argentina, they could make some from supporting the FI production only and perhaps FI help with exploration in their waters, but that is all. There is not going to be "sharing £ billions" with Argentina from FI production .

Why would Argentina be gaining much from this ? I am hoping you aren't suggesting that the FIG are going to split the reserves with Argentina , that would do the share price alot of good , not!

OK, they could make some with refining, but I don't think thats anything to excite them all that much, it wont stop their claims the Islands

I still just cant see PMO and RKH going this just the 2 of them. Not a field this size, it just doesn't happen.

That's why I don't think they are going to rush into this, delaying it benefits them and their balance sheet, which is what their creditors demand.

The main pot of money is supposed to be coming from Export Finance, which has yet to be confirmed of course. Suppliers have also issued LOIs that they will join the project and supply the required without getting paid until later I would assume. They remain open to another partner coming on board, which there doesn't seem to be anyone chomping at the bit to join this.

Also some talk about the FI government lowering Taxes, which well overdue imho.

The talk seems to be positive, which is better than the opposite, but no actual cash has been forth coming .
