Views on future USA defence, under Biden. Difficult to see him picking a fight with the Pentagon and it's backers as part of his plans to unite the country, and domestic matters are an obvious first in that respect. I imagine there will at least be subtle changes in defence priorities, over quite a lengthy period. Nothing drastic, but most going to be stuck with fairly flat budgets anyway.

Blackbird is billed largely as the choice for those not tied into legacy infrastructure, editing suites and the like. Transition to cloud has been and remains a long process for many businesses, with existing contracts probably playing a part. Eventually, it will fall to potential customers as part of their overall future-proofing planning, to make decisions around the efficacy of their existing arrangements, in a competitive world. I am hopeful that transition away from existing uncompetitive, unwieldy, immobile and less immediate existing infrastructure will provide further opportunities for cloud solutions providers including Blackbird.

It is at least possible that having worked with General Dynamics before, Ultra could be appointed as one of the sub-contractors. That is a guess.

I continue to take the view, as a punter, that fears for the future of the defence industry, pulling investors out of such shares, in the event of a Biden win are overblown. It is a simplistic view that sees the United States wishing to maintain its military competence in uncertain world affairs.

Hence my investment at this stage.
