This is the fourth day sp has opened higher - market's expecting something. News in offing?

1-share trades also on NCYT, CNE, ARB, CPI, ORPH, NFX, etc, so I think we can discount any significance.

There are fewer trades printed than posts on the BB. Is this rise sustainable with such low volume?

I hope the company comes up with a better name than Poolbeg - a classic off-the-shelf company name made up of two disparate random words bolted together.

Advice

There has been quite a discussion over on COPL about the state of the small caps market this year - how all the fun has gone out of it; how risk / reward balance is tipped away from PIs; how AI / algorithms is causing shares to spike then tank within less than a day or two. Certainly, I've noticed how bloody hard it is to work out what's going on with my stocks (including this one), and be able to plan or use any kind of strategy. Anyone else feel the same?

Pretty sure that's a buy - such a big trade and so close to the mid-point. The sp would have tanked if it was a sell

Marksie - a few possible reasons:
1. The buy/sell ratio is wrong; we know LSE's algorithms only guess at whether a trade is a buy or sell. Sometimes trades can be close to the mid-way line, and buys can be shown as sells, and vice versa
2. MMs are filling a big buy order, so holding down the price to meet it (big buy orders are often well below the mid price point)
3. MMs are actioning a big sell order, and so are feeding in stock gradually to ensure they are getting bought up. A big dump all at once would crash the sp, which would scupper their positions and leave them with unsold stock that's paid a higher price for.

I'm not happy to give advice as such, but I am happy to comment - in the spirit of helpfulness.
It's probably not a good idea to have such an exposure to one stock, so I'm inclined to say, don't put any more into SLP at the mo. Having said that, SLP has been a star performer (look at its chart from May 20 to May this year), and I'm not sure the underlying fundamentals have gotten any worse. So, hold your nerve (and the shares), and I think it will come good before very long.
If you have £1.36k to invest, you may want to look at a few good prospects such as ZPHR, PXC, ADV, or an outsider such as BELL. Good luck.
