Not sure why resistance at 170; possibly because it was stuck in the 160 - 175 range for several months before dropping out of this at the end of June, and investors are not sure that it will justify a higher sp. They are waiting for more certainty on the arbitration payment before committing.

There's a 10k block buyer in the market today. The sp should go blue any time.

Smithy - you can block posters by filtering them. It's called putting them in the 'green box'.

Wrong board, not just thread!

Phantom - that's true of all ISAs, not just HL's; once you withdraw money, you can't put in back in within the same tax year.

Kev - you can move up to £20k in any one year from your HL account into an ISA (I use HL and the missus uses AJB), and any profits are free of CGT. You either withdraw this profit (free of income tax) or re-invest it within the ISA to grow its value further. Process begins again when the next tax year begins.

Looks like muted demand from US.
Let's hope it will gap up Monday morning and rise steadily from there.

180 at c.o.b.

If you look at a technical chart for CNE covering the last 4 or 5 months, you can see a clear line of resistance at 170. The sp has barely peaked more than a couple pence above 170.

I would love to see the ask at £3.75, but it would create a wave of selling, and the MMs would be left with expensively-bought stock that no-one would buy.
It's true that the MMs' world is a mystery to most of us mere mortals, but there are a number of posters on these boards who are former MMs, and they share some of their secrets with us...

Emerald....MMs create a pool of liquidity in shares by lowering the price, as doing this creates sells in two major ways: firstly, it prompts people into selling, as most investors want an uptrend in the share price; and secondly, it triggers any stop-losses which have been set a few pence below the price at which people bought. If I am right about this happening here, we should see the sp rise considerably towards the close.

US market opens at 14.30 UK time. MMs collecting shares in anticipation of demand. Hence the sp dip.

I think you can infer there are few shares for sale by how quickly a share price rises when there's relatively modest buying.

'Guys' has only become gender neutral by default. Nobody has asked women if they're okay with this. Would males accept 'girls' or 'lasses' becoming gender neutral? I doubt it.

No specific insights, but some thoughts: bit of a dark horse share, this one. As a SPAC, its value lies in its next acquisition. And we won't know what that is until it's RNSd. If the market likes it, the share will rocket, though (look what happened to sp in Jan). So it's a bit of a punt; buy low and hold is probably the best strategy here.
