The 50 Year Plan extends to El Sauz and Fleur which is 70% BCN and 30% Cadence. Probably very little of this in the SP. But I imagine is worth more than Zinwald was.

So still plenty of share value if Ganfeng take a higher percentage of Sonora. Although I don't remember seeing this all laid out so we see who owns what regards La Ventana, La Ventana 1, El Sauz, Fleur and when each is to be developed.

Overall they have 100,000 Hectares (ha) with inferred extensions beyond those stated above

Cadence holds 30% of Mexalit and Megalit joint venture companies. Mexalit is the owner of the El Sauz, El Sauz 1, El Sauz 2, Fleur and Fleur 1 mineral concessions.

This for me gets confusing. Are these part of the Sonora Project or separate from what Ganfeng owns 22.5% (?) of.

Are El Sauz and Fleur part of Phase one and Phase two?

If ganfeng do raise their holding to 50% I can see the SP rocket in response as the mine will definitely be funded, and built.

I don't really see any difference to Ganfeng diluting us versus someone else. I would not care if there were more shares in issue but that resulted in the SP going over 100p.

I/we have always assumed the money has to come by issuing more shares to raise money for the build.

14.25 mins in. Ganfeng wants to have a mine that is capable of producing 25k tonnes then 50k tonnes of lithium.

johnpwh I'd rather keep till into production. SP will be many multiples of now. Then they can either give dividend or invest in expansion. I'd vote for expansion and an increase in SP that will go with that - as per Tesla. They have the resource to expand into one of the largest Lithium mines in the world and feed the need for that 6TW pa of Batteries that are expected to be produced by 2030. There is no need to leave in the ground for 250 years because it with become an orphan asset like oil is becoming - and of course none of us will be around that long.

I've always thought this means they can easily scale this up to to a much larger facility once the money starts flowing in.

After the first plant its surely like Tesla Gigafactories. Just build and larger one and produce more. They have the land. They have power from Texas. Water can be recycled.

Maybe I've played too many games.

Remember the payback for the build is four years. And once its going finance for expansion will be low risk.

I thought they was some commitment or option to buy the other 50% of Zinwald from the Liquidators of Solarworld.

BCN don't want to put more money this way as Sonora needs to be focus of any fund raising. Its a much bigger resource shovel ready - 200 year LIfe of mine. BCN NPV 1.25 Billion vs 400+ Million for Zinwald 30 Year Life of mine.

I can only assume that Eris have backers willing to fund the buyout the other 50% of Zinwald from Solarworld and bring this into production. If so its a good deal. If not its a bad deal as it doesn't solve the problem, or bring any money in.

I just wonder how much BCN have poured into buying Zinwald and producing the feasibility study. I though it was a lot.

Ganfeng looked at Thacker Pass but Trump anti China rhetoric made it a no go. Ganfeng went to BCN after that because they were interested in clays.

He thinks everyone will dive into BCN when funding comes thru.

What would be nice to know is how easy it is to switch from Lithium Carbonate to Lithium Hydroxide production.

Secondly if the cost of production of Lithium Carbonate is less than $4000 per tonne what is the cost for Lithium Hydroxide. More, less, or the same?

Time is getting short to get in at these low prices. Years ago before the Definitive Feasibility Study it was averaging above 80p per share.

The failed capital raise brought the SP down But since then Gangfeng have come on board and MG doubled its holding as a result.

And the Tesla Battery Day doubled the already huge expected demand for Battery Materials. No matter what EV/Storage battery Lithium Phosphate or Lithium Ion (in its variations) need Lithium. There is enough Lithium to meet this demand.
Its just the cost to get it out of the ground and process it. And the getting the Institutions prepared to fund the new mines.

And we know BCN has a huge reserves of Lithium production at a cost comparable with the cheapest in the World which appears to Lithium Brines from South America and Lithium Americas' Clay deposit in Nevada. Hard rock in currently more expensive to mine which is why they have been mothballing production in Australia until existing stocks are used up.

Zinwald wont Generate anything until its built. But if it get funding BCN who own 70% of it original 50% will see an increase in its NPV and share price.

Excellent - Get rid of Chinese Nuclear power - that seems to be a very bad idea.

I have an Electric car, you can charge anywhere. Hydrogen is nowhere. Hydrogen is also a huge waste of Electricity converting to Hydrogen and back via a fuel cell.

I can see some applications where its problems and inefficiency wont be a drawback. But I think batteries are a good fit for Cars, Lorries, Buses, Electric storage for renewables.

I area I thought interesting was mixing Hydrogen with Natural gas to feed into the Gas network. The network and appliances are there and this would make the system cleaner and extend the life of this infrastructure.
