Sorry figure trouble.....I looked at the wider picture the geopolitical scene now imploding, one constant stood out Gold ...I then came across GGP and hence this board. I've sold all shares /funds I own and invested in this fine company. Trouble is I'm too emotionally attached, I've tried various diversions ,distempering draughts, casual sex, formal sex all failed ....what do you folks do to take your mind off becoming wealthy?
I have for many years traded in funds with the diversity and the spreading of risk which these investments give . I then decided few years to dip the toe in the world of share dealing with mixed fortunes....rather less than more I might add . The shares were pretty much Ftse listed. As a result of lockdown and plenty of DYOR together with looking at a world crippled by inflation, QE reflarion, bonds now maturing 2037
Not me TMT I followed you and Nige on PSN board sage advice it was and helped me dip my toe in housebuilders a few years ago. Also I like the banter here, more entertaining than going to the pub, as I used to remember them!
Thanking you TMT for your reply , don't intend too however not at least since savoured the fruits of my labour by investing in this world class conpany
Last night the board was full of comments/ advice/ recommendations where is everyone ? At home nursing their 100% profits or more , spare a thought for those of us just starting out on the path of discovery
Sorry to bang on about the finished product gold, but it's all that miners are interested about. I've had first hand experience of holding gold, I'm just a small investor, probably like many others on this board in shares pertaining to the shiny stuff. The price drives the market and hence our SP in GGP and others out there today. We are in a good position hold firm hold steady there are many detractors out there. Gold price will increase as sure as eggs are eggs. I hope with my 5.45m stake I can move up the ladder of life into a nice semi with garden and pleasant neighbours. gla
The price of gold is the single most important factor of mining the resource, if it is low nobody mines it, if it is high everyone mines it. All the calculations by GGP , Newcrest et al are based on the saleable value of gold. Simple but true
I have held gold bullion now since 2009 suffered loss in 2011 but have held on since now still going to held as 'expert' opinion in the precious metals field say will break out soon to US D 1825 then steadily climb due to geographical uncertainty with super powers etc etc to reach $2200 (ref CreditSuisse) and continue upward trend within bullish market to $2700 by 2023. This of course has bearing on calculations seen on this board making SP more attractive than ever. All IMO only folks. GL to all of us!
Good evening fellow investors I have a suggestion, may we all meet face to face on a fellow investors yacht purchased on the proceeds of GGP shares sold where we can discuss further our differences with or without vitriol over a glass of fine malt/burgundy or Marston's! Cheers
Moving on for the collective good27 May 2020 11:22
Morning folks this forum has I see it worked together sharing valuable information for the greater good of all contributors. We all make mistakes by inference they are not intentional. You all contribute so we can as a forum become financially comfortable at whatever stage in life we are at. I hope that you all continue in vein so we all achieve our respective goals. Cheers
Fair point B1ll, but did speculation help win your team the FA cup, League cup , Johnson's cup, Milk cup, Watney Cup, Fairs Cup, Europa cup, World cup? ATB fellow investors
Good evening fellow investors , having read with some interest the views of members on possible scenarios takeovers, joint ventures, mergers et al. I find it incredulous that everyone is getting ahead of ' ourselves' I would advise for all of us to calm down, no matter what we say or advocate it is simply out of our hands. We should sit back and see where the journey takes us. Some will be disappointed some will be elated. You pays your money and takes your choice ....to quote an old adage.
Good evening all, firstly a heartfelt and economic thankyou to members on this fine board. Your excellent and considered advice has helped me understand the long term value of this stock to which I'm heavily invested, some might say too too heavily invested. However I have ploughed ahead and transformed my portfolio away from defensive stocks into this little beauty. I hope that this delivers a better return than other boring stocks that I have held I am sure it will ....thanks to you all goodnight see you all tomorrow
