Thank you for that valuable insight which is almost appreciated. Apparently you mistake us for people who give a fig about your opinions.
Thanks jhonboy, got that recorded so look forward to watching that later on.
I see someone fancied a nice 6 million share top up that showed after the close today. Late response to this morning’s RNS, expecting news soon or building up a stake?
Well aandi the RNS answers the question about which is first site to be recommissioned and it was Italy. Only thing is that it looks to be Q2 next year and not this year but still a good start. Let’s hope for more good news in the coming weeks:-)
Ouch that’s gonna hurt :-) nicely spotted Strumtrupper
And people aren’t queuing up to listen to your waffle. Congrats mate you’re now on filter. Do enjoy your solo misery
I thought the delay was in agreement with Acciona and, if you listened properly AB said he was reluctant to attribute it to COVID.
So want to try another way to beat on AB today
It was earlier on in the presentation, can’t remember exactly when. Think it was mentioned after AB referred to the completion of the site set up at Dunsfold.
must admit that figure of 2GW did surprise me, that's a lot of generators to replace for sure! Agree that Saudi Arabia is looking to move forward to green energy quicker than many realise, think that is the influence of the Royal Family there who want to move away from oil dependency. If they are backing things then that is an excellent market to be involved with
Agreed and with his background will be well placed to improve and drive the systems going forward.
That makes sense, thanks for the answer Rooky
Just curious, if AFC had an announcement to make on the day of the CME would they have to issue a RNS prior to the start? Or could they issue the RNS at the moment anything was made public at the event?
Blueboy, you will be able to listen to the event after it has completed as well
‘ A video replay of the CME and all of the presentations given will be made available on the Company website following the event’ - from the RNS.
However I know what you mean about hearing from those others to get a PIs view of the presentation
FInally they’ve woken up. As a Toyota customer I had a survey from them last year about perceptions on their future car plans and absolutely slated them for it. I found it amazing that they only had eyes for hydrogen vehicles at the time. Glad to see they are rethinking things
That’s very true JohnnieW, in this digital day and age data is vital and no operator can not take the slightest chance of any outage or loss. Contracts often have large penalties built in to cover such things, hence why you’ll see backup systems along with multiple backups for the backup. In addition a lot of top level data centres will also have backup sites in other locations. It is staggering what is needed nowadays.
Firstly thanks for that Augusta, very interesting and shows the possibilities.
‘ Although data centers seem boring on the outside, they are essential to our current lifestyle and a massively growing market.’
Boring they might seem but if AFC can tap into something that is such huge part of life nowadays then I couldn’t care how ‘boring’ it is. I’m all for Extreme E and the like but the potential is in the things like replacements for diesel gen sets, EVs etc. We all speculate as to what the market can be worth but if we’re really honest then none of us really has a clue. If the potential is realised then I do think we would look back in years to come and realise how much we under estimated the market.
What the markets make of these announcements. Let’s hope it’s a positive as we all are :-)
Hahaha Heath, if you’re waiting for Phat to provide details or backing for any claims being made, then you have a long long wait. I can’t read their post but assume it’s predicting an imminent rise in the SP as per usual.
Clearly someone who needs a torch due to his head being firmly stuck up somewhere very dark. They are ok for making names known but their research is absolutely dire at times.
I’ve just caught up on today’s racing after watching it all yesterday. So it’s different to what people have been used to previously but overall I enjoyed it. Now in my opinion it was successful in establishing Extreme E’s green credentials in regards of what they stand for and how they are going about doing things. I do think that AFC’s involvement will become more noticeable to the public audience in the coming months as the XPrixs generate more interest in the sport. From there people will start to ask more about the ‘background’ systems and want to gain more knowledge as to how the off grid charging works.
Now this visibility to the public isn’t the part that sells systems. However what Extreme E does for AFC is that it helps validate the principles and practicalities that potential customers and partners may have had questions about. They have shown that a containerised system can be shipped from the UK to a remote location. Said system has then been set up and operational without any apparent issues in a less than hospitable environment.
Now we have four more locations to come, so there is still plenty more to be proved. However I do think that this has been an extremely good start to what is an international road show for AFC. We picked up interest and subsequent business as a result of the previous roadshow run. This time AFC have a more exhaustive schedule to follow and, if it goes well, should have proved to the market exactly the product can do in a variety of environments.
I’m not expecting the SP to immediately rocket on Tuesday morning based on this weekend’s performance, however I do feel that we will see a period of steady growth begin. The biggest gain is going to come as the questions that have been asked are shown to be answered and so lead to subsequent business deals.
IMO this weekend has been far more successful than many of us realise
