Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Just read his/her post history. I've seen more "worry / uncertainty / negativity" in those posts than Matt Han**** facing Piers Morgan in the morning. Eitherway we're not down are we so why post it...

Not sure if this had been posted yet or not. As ppl know I'm bullish on the eVTOL markets which RR have aligned themselves to over time. Recent news would suggest it's finally here.
Not a chance they would relinquish the golden share - espesh now how critical RR are to Tempest and also future propulsion systems, notwithstanding the fact our submarine fleet is powered by RR and the future for SMRs to secure the countries energy supply. Think a robust programme of defence, low carbon and space related activity led by Whitehall needs to be on the agenda. Note that REL tech is being used at the new Westcott Propulsion Centre. Just shows how critical RR is to the future of the country. Also side note that the only quantum enabled fibre communications network is at the NCC in Bristol where the Composites Tech Hub is (carbon fibre/graphene weaving / testing etc) is taking place. I think more support to prop up RR will be on the way and direction from UK govt imo.
A great clickbait article behind a paywall. Just speculation on maybe merging with Airbus but why it wont, then speculates on why a foreign takeover isnt going to happen. Suggests that big government research programme, such as hybrid propulsion may or may not be enough in terms of govt assistance. Doesn't give any consideration to the role of other division of RR and focuses solely on commercial aerospace.
Negatives- the need to drive down its debt levels and how much will be available to invest into r+d at a time when r+d is required. States that aviation world is looking at developing low emission tech into new hybrid electric planes but RR may be inhibited in terms of investment because of debt burden. Doesnt take into consideration any existing research or programmes where money has been committed to develop these programmes already nor does it give reference to any new contract awards etc. Seems to be a piece aimed at the govt to consider how it keeps its prized engineering and defence company in shape and fit for the future imo. Sure it's only ministers who subscribe to the times online and read LSE BB..come on boris...pour some more money into defence contracts, nuclear and SSTO Air Force No.10 plane.
The only bit relevant to RR:
One interesting British Stock is Rolls Royce. While many would not view it as a tech company, it collects and analyses a huge amount of data and uses it to develop new products. It's going through big challenges because of Covid but the company has a lot of advantages and shares a duopoly over the market with General Electric.
We bought it last May because the company can quickly recover when we go back to normality and people start flying. We think the stock still looks cheap.

I was just jesting - given the green credentials of the crypto mining sector and how a Rolls Royce built SMR could quite easily power the UK's hash rate and output for a National Mining Strategy. Heck RR may move into mining - they have enough capacity...
