Good afternoon Cookie, one of the downsides of share ownership. Nothing is ever a slam dunk. We are OK here, because I like the way the share register is distributed, will probably look in on the wres chat at some point. But right now all funds committed.

This is one of the main reasons I believe it's going to production, no one company will end up owning Solgold. It's just too complicated for a complete buyout. Can you imagine any of the major holders on the share register selling to each other. Cornerstone is maybe the biggest concession to own. But if Cornerstone won't sell, because it wants a slice of the pie. Then I can't see anyone even getting 50% of Solgold.

Afternoon ohwhatanight, unsure, as a whole I tend to steer clear of 25% ownership claims, due to the fact, that concert groups are easier to form, and the PI's get shafted for a fraction of the value, by the concert party delisting. Happened in Fortune Oil.

Good afternoon ohwhatanight, I am not aware of any regs on the LSE, however I do believe individuals that own 25% of a company, must be put on the PSC register of the company. That is person of significant control register. Could that be what you are thinking of.

Good morning Zoros, I believe the 9.2% figure is direct ownership, however they also have a share of Cascabel, and unsure of the situation if any warrents involved.

Just read the petition, quite simple and to the point, however I cannot sign it, as it would be difficult to create a market for smaller companies. Not everything is ideal. This I am afraid is one of the things, that is necessary.

I haven't really come across any argument on what happens to cornerstone, lets say they don't sell out, I cannot work out the total holding they own. My nearest estimate is 23.1%.can anyone provide me with an accurate figure, and more importantly the facts to back it up. Cornerstone is key at this moment in time. What happens to cornerstone, is what is going to move this share.

I would have thought that the PEA would be out in the next few days. But as we usually see some movement in the share price about a week before, maybe this will be later in the month.

Agreed DBW, a range of possibilities. Would like a take out bid, as my reasoning says it would have to be a large bid, so although I believe, I am correct. I would prefer you to be correct, if that makes any sense. However this turns out, it's good news.

I think that because the shareholders register is so diverse, this makes it harder for any one party to take this out, because of the cost in doing so. I even believe NM will retain his share. Making this nigh on impossible. Hence only one option left on the table, as far as I can see. Take this to production. Just my opinion, based on my observations.

Agreed Cookie, it's in the detail of the contract. However I believe from what's been broadcast to be a reasonable hypothesis. If we get to November, this frees up Newcrest to bid. Then at that point, all bets are on the table. This is why I don't think we would get a third party bid yet. Because it would free up Newcrest and BHP. The interest will be what happens to Cornerstone. It is my opinion, and my opinion only, that the way in for a third party, would be to acquire Cornerstone, this to my mind, would not free up Newcrest or BHP.

Good morning addicknt, only been thinking this recently, I guess we have to wait and see the content of the PEA. It would make things interesting, and explain how NM intends to go to production, within a reduced timescale. Either way, if we are right, this is going to increase value, while at the same time save money.

Good morning eyesblue, I believe if Newcrest did make an offer, this would free up BHP from their contractual obligations and then they would be free to counter bid. Someone please correct me if I incorrect on my assertion.

I know we are all waiting for the PEA, and that we all have ideas why it has been delayed. I would like to introduce another possibility. We have been told that it's going to be more detailed, also remember that Newcrest are tied in till November this year, and BHP, October next year. All these events have been carefully thought out. I predict will will never do a PFS, we will go to a DFS, as the added content in the PEA, will be enough to enable the jump. This would speed up the start up production run, and we would have the funding in place by October this year, and a start up within the year.

Also in agreement with Strider4 and Jerryspaniel, Padmaster posts content I want to read, Earthling trys to seek approval by rubbishing other posters, when he has nothing else to say. Wso58, is just another example. Everyone should be allowed to post, with no attacking behaviour, anything else detracts from the general conversation. We are all capable of sorting through the content. I for one, want to hear all opinions.

Good afternoon addicknt, I don't totally disagree with your scenario. I liked the article on Rio Tinto that was posted today. If their were a hostile bid, this would free up BHP and Newcrest to bid. I think we can agree that Newcrest would probably be the first to drop out. However because of Newcrest's holding and NM's holding. Both of these on their own could stop a complete sell off, just as BHP could. I see this going to production for many reasons. But the take out bid would have to be huge, to get the interested parties to sell their stake. I not sure the major's will go that high. They may be content having a stake and slowly building on it as they can. I personally am interested in seeing what happens to Cornerstone. I believe ultimately this will go to production owned by BHP, Newcrest and Maybe other parties. Unsure if NM will sell his stake.

Good afternoon everyone, I found the Rio Tinto article interesting. Shows some upside, even if they don't decide to bid. I won't go over my previous reasons, while I think this will go to production, but will offer you a thought experiment. How does this get brought out. The share register is so diverse, that to take complete control of the company, would be a mammoth task. We don't have a concert party of any significant size. How would a take out bid occur?
