Just posting this, as although a month out of date. Looks like the removing of fuel subsidies was never a condition of the IMF loan. They wanted cutbacks and tax rises. Good morning Cookiecrew, I just believe that Newcrest and BHP want as much of Solgold they can get at the lowest price. Why would Newcrest start a bidding war, when BHP is in standstill. Just doesn't make sense to me. Also Cornerstone shareholders, believe they can get much more for their piece of the action. And looking at it from the other side of the fence, this has a way to go. However, I am becoming more convinced that, the PFS, may move this share.

Newcrest, won't make an offer at this stage. Unlikely they will make an offer at all. They may be content with their fifteen percent share. They are not going to release BHP from their standstill agreement and get into a bidding war.

Yes but a nice thought, and would maybe go some way to answering my original question.

Good morning Mog, you may be right, but just feel he could have got a small top up, at a greater price, and subsequently less equity. I agree it does look like this is only to get us to PFS, but would have thought, we would have required the BFS, for any finance to production, streaming, bonds, equity, or even loan backed finance, from BHP.

Good morning Mog, you may well be right, I thought the standstill agreement, may have been an addendum, to the main agreement, but the more I think about it, that makes less sense. Still puzzled, as why only BHP was included in this latest arrangement.

Morning Jerry, thank you for your thoughts, I believe the standstill agreement was time limited, not based on percentage of ownership. However, Newcrest, are currently released from their standstill agreement. Whereas BHP are not, and yet they not only got in at what I consider to be a cheap price, for a block deal. But got 37p options as well.

I have a thought that is hard to shift. I was wrong about the recent injection of capital by BHP. Why just BHP, why not Newcrest and maybe others. Surely a bidding match between more than one party would have got a higher price. Also surely Newcrest would have paid higher, or did Newcrest say that it was too expensive. Just a quick note, responses from people like TriggersaysDave, will be ignored, as these individuals talk rubbish.

You may be right addicknt, Its just the bid if it comes would need to be substantial, to get the other major parties to relinquish their stock.

Good morning addicknt, always interested in your views. I got it wrong this morning, as predicted 45p buy in and it's half that. My feeling is, we have to cut back on drilling to get to BFS at year end. It may be that with the imminent release of MRE3, that drilling at Alpala Is finished or almost over, and while we will still drill other sites we have permits for. Unless we save money somehow on the monthly costs, we don't quite have enough to get us to BFS, unless the 37p options are exercised. The part of the RNS that stood out for me, was BHP are committed to seeing Solgold become a major producer. I know you hold the opposite opinion to me on that point, but would be good to hear your views.

I would suspect it's closer to 45p or even higher. My reasoning is it doesn't mention Newcrest, so imagine there was some kind of auction and their was only one winner.

As a minimum, we need to trade ten million shares a day, everyday. We should be trading at least 3/4 of one percent, to create a meaningful price.

Good morning Jerry, yes agreed. I don't doubt the fund raising, no shortage of suitors willing to stump up short term leading. Also let's remember, that the 2.8 billion, can be staged, so many ways to do this. I think you raise a fair point about production. I know I am in the minority, that suspects we go all the way. But maybe loss of interest, from people who thought this would be sold off, at a premium pretty soon, and have made gains, so have decided to exit. The people on this board, represent such a small amount of shares in Solgold, and while we speculate on the future, we are none the wiser.

Good morning Jerry, this is just my opinion and my opinion only. Whilst I understand your concern, that this could be taken over cheaply. We have to remember the distribution of the share register. One party does not even own 20%. Hence, a price would have to be offered that every party, would say, yes that's fair value. I cannot put an estimate on this share, as it still has political uncertainty surrounding it and unfortunately that will take time, for people to gain confidence in the situation. However, I do strongly believe, that it will pass, and that in the long term , this is a goer. By then we will be progressing, nicely with the build.
