I think Franco Nevada's international standing and reputation is worth a bit more than that.

I agree Iceberg, but one thing speculating, another getting an agreed deal. NM won't have come this far and sell it cheap.
A brief example: if we get a valuation on PFS of say close to 7.5 billion pounds, that is over 3 pounds a share.
Now I believe a deal would be 40% of that at PFS, which is 1 pound and 20 pence.
Some people may consider that fair value, but would NM. If I was NM, I would want full value, although I understand many would be happy with £1.20 a share.
Lastly would NCM and the other stakeholders sell out at £1.20 a share. I don't think they would.
So can a deal be brokered. As it stands I don't think so.
Maybe a deal between these two figures might, but I feel, unless it's close to £3 a share, I don't think a deal can be done.

That sounds like production costs to me, but you say not, what are these extra 2 billion plus set up costs.

Now you accept the cost to go to production, will not dilute, as this is taken care of.
You now claim setup costs. What are these costs and how much are they, and why do they dilute.

Thank you addicknt, however, from the very beginning of my investment, I have always realised that this could be sold. Even more so, when Andrew Martin, was in charge. However things changed, and when the facts change, I look at it again, with Fresh eyes. I am not saying this happened with hole 5. But when Nick Mather, talked about taking this to production. I too believed this was a ruse to get a increased sale price. But he has ignored any noise, and pushed on too production. I hear you say, what else could he do, to get the best price, and you are correct, and have laid out your arguments, on how the company could be sold as a whole, but not Alpala on its own. ( please correct me if I am misquoting you ). I also think, that we could be in talks with BHP, before 15th October. But unless a fair price can be achieved, dependent on the PFS. Then we carry on to production. We all have an idea of what fair value is. I suspect my figure is higher than yours. I want to see the Franco Nevada streaming sorted before PFS, as that would stop a lot of the conspiracy theories, although I suspect, they will just change. Something like, the FN deal proves he is selling it, because. You know my position addicknt. I don't believe fair value, would be negotiated, and the last thing any major wants is a bidding war, as that's means they pay a higher price. So no hostile bid. Lastly, let me reverse the question. Why the hell I do this, I really don't know. Payback for Alpala, with no dilution, is between 3.5 to 3.8 years, gold is higher in price now, so expect that amazing figure to be even better. This is to drill out the tenements, we have licences for. The last thing on anyone's mind at Solgold, is a distressed sell. This landscape is immense. Imagine if the PFS, with the updated figures say payback for Alpala, under three years. I imagine, everyone who lends money, will be queueing up to finance this. Solgold has lots of options. But read it for yourself. Don't try and spin it, with any conspiracy theory. For crying out load, I can think of 3 webinars in last 3 months, the most impressive by Ingo, that clearly states how this would be funded. The payback of the mine is under 4 years with financing and no dilution.
What are you on about, and please present your evidence. I have not read such nonsense.
Again you are making assertions on things you know nothing about. Instead of listening to the webinars, or asking questions.

It's a fair question ToS1963. I can't answer that with any conviction. But here are my thoughts.
On Alpala we cannot proceed any faster than we are, this is going to be financed independently.
So we can continue with the other sites, and increase value, this allows the best use of our resources on the ground, and doesn't hold up Alpala, and they are separately funded.

Again not listening or reading content, I have always said we may be brought out, however the evidence at the moment does not support a buyout, and NM has made no secret that he would sell at the right price.
So ask yourself a question, what is full value of Solgold and how much a share is that, and will a major pay that price.
I think the answer is no and so I take NM at his word, and we proceed to production and to add more value. The posters on here, that hold the opposite view to me, understand my point, just a few, that don't read, and assume what I mean.
As for Franco Nevada, ask yourself this. If it's not Covid19 holding this up, don't you think FN might have asked, why it's taking so long, well they haven't.
So we are left with two scenario's either NM is telling the truth, or FN are in on this, which I believe would be illegal.
What's the more likely scenario?
