Hi Padmaster, worth reading Redknights posting at 13.27 today ( if you haven't already ). and clicking on the link.
It seems to lay out what a major like BHP, would pay, as in relation to the size of the company ( BHP ), and at what stage they will bid and also takes into account other variables for a bid.
I see no reason to believe anything has changed, as the size of our resource indicates to my mind, that we carry on to production.
However, at the DFS,BFS stage, this is when a major would probably look to acquire a company like Solgold ( If it's meets the other criteria ) as on such a big purchase, it has to be de-risked as much as possible.
It's a guide and nothing written in stone.

Morning rcgl2, I think this is all speculation, I haven't read anywhere that a certain company, is being put in the frame to bid for Solgold. But stories like this keep people interested. I am surprised, that they are suggesting we have longer to wait for the PFS. But Like others, will wait for next bit of news from Solgold.

Morning E.T. The problem is that CGP is not a one way bet, its costs for developing Alpala, is more than the market capitalisation of the company. So not that attractive in isolation.

CGP have no where to go. I believe that they will use their 7.6% holding in Solgold to finance, their cost of building Alpala. As they are hoping the share price will be higher.

Morning Miagi, my understanding was if any money left after DFS, it went to advancing Alpala to production.

I don't believe so, We are going to be valued considerably higher after the PFS, we are still going to raise finance to bring Alpala to fruition. I think, this speculation is interesting, but need to keep our eyes firmly on the prize. We don't see any of this in the share price. As a rumour can lift the share price, even if only temporary in nature.

Understand Iceberg, I found producing RNS's without assays on Porvenir, less convincing. Maybe they are directing their efforts into the PFS, and so get this out.

To be honest Iceberg, that doesn't sound like a news blackout, that just sounds sensible.
