As for China, the reason that their copper usage is so high, isn't just expansion, it's a go for green government. China has ambitions to be the main global player in electric cars and green technologies. It is massive.

Agreed Shipright, however the push to electric, will mean carbon fuels taxed more as usage declines. I expect to see the start next budget, as Boris has already announced a green budget to kickstart the economy, and raise taxes for the Covid crisis.
