The direction of the company will be getting the PFS out. Then working on the CFP, and then the DFS to tie up the loose ends.

Pad, we have got low ball bids covered, the diverse book, has become even more diverse in the past year. No one bidding for CGP. They need to seriously start thinking about raising their 15% of costs to build Alpala.
This is going to happen faster than people think. I do believe, by the time 2021 is over, that any doubts over the direction of Solgold, will be removed.

Agreed Colonel, as you say finance easier, although it was good even before this discovery. Why would Solgold even consider a bid, that's any bid. After all, we have drilled so few of our tenements. I believe the extra construction for Alpala, will be offset by the faster payback in the PFS, and financing Alpala, will be done, with very little drama. Shared infrastructure makes this a much cheaper model, and real gains to realise.

As long as one party doesn't own more than 40% of the company, I will stay invested and may even keep half my holding and collect the dividends and future growth, as I reckon we will be still bringing other projects to production long after I have departed this world.
Like any investor I constantly review my investments.
One thing I will add, I would sell out what I consider cheap, if the dividend yielding shares I have on my watchlist, fell through the floor, and were still in good shape, as the majority of my shares are in FTSE 100 and 250 indexes, and have good revenue, profits and excellent dividend cover.
I suppose VOD might be an exception, but would still buy more VOD and LLOY , as I believe these companies have decent futures.
I am by nature a cautious investor, but take the occasional risk, as it's fun.

Zoros, I don't need the money too live, so can take a long term view.
But you are correct you need to enjoy life.
If we were not in lockdown, I would be going to my astronomy club, and spend less time doing virtual meetings.
Don't have grandchildren yet, but I need to think about public school fees, and as a Morgan car fan would like an electric one. They scrapped their project on an electric M3W, I am sure they will have an electric car based on the frame of the plus6, as it was designed with the possibility of an electric version.
I have plans after we are out of lockdown and vaccinated.
I retired early at 57, so most of my friends still working.

I would say, that I see production as the most likely path, on the evidence we have.
If I saw evidence of consolidation, like someone buying CGP's or NCM's share of Solgold, I would rethink my view and see the possibility of Solgold being sold, as a distinct possibility.
But you are correct, as I have a sense of what is right and wrong in life, and of course understand the grey areas.

Hi newtoit, as you know, the cost overruns will probably happen, and their will be a contingency for that.
Usually around 30%.
No one can build this faster than Solgold. As once we have the HLD and LLD, we will have the build documents and costs.
I would hope that we would have hired the expertise by the time LLD is completed.
On costs, we have a payback of less than 4 years at the PEA, that is incredible.
Let's see what we have at PFS with the rising gold price. ( payback could be less than 3 years )
I don't think financing Alpala will be a problem, with such a short payback period.
This is I think an exciting investment to be in, and I won't be selling cheap.

I agree newtoit, the channel channel overrun on cost, as it was a one off, and an unbelievable engineering feat.
I know two engineers who worked on the channel tunnel, one is still working on it, maintaining the electrical systems on the HV side.
People said it couldn't be done, as they drilled from both sides and met in the middle.
Civil engineers perform huge engineering feats everyday around the planet.
It's ridiculous to say that Solgold cannot hire the expertise to construct a block cave mining operation. ( this is a bread and butter job for companies that specialize in building mines )
This argument that Solgold cannot take this to production has always be a straw man, and shows the lack of engineering experience on this chatroom. Don't listen to these clueless individuals.

Your correct Gino, we need the finance, I reckon we will maybe have to raise 100% as cannot see CGP raising their share.
However NM and Ingo believe we can raise the finance, and I for one believe them.
That is a big reason I am invested.

Have a read guys, this is not one of the biggest civil engineering companies, but read what they do, and then tell me people like this cannot plan, construct and bring Alpala to production.
Of course if their is one part they cannot do, they will subcontract to another civil engineering company, that they have a close relationship with.
That's how civil engineering companies work, they are a tight knit community of highly skilled professionals.
To hear people on here state that Solgold cannot do this, means they have no understanding of engineering.
By the way it's NM and the BOD that state they can do this, I wonder who the people on this chatroom believe, NM or the likes of Earthling.

BHP and NCM, do not build their own mines, they buy in the expertise from Civil engineering companies, as I believe Solgold will do.
Does he really believe that the Major mining companies have hundreds of highly paid engineers on their books to build a mine, every time one comes up.

Lafitte don't believe everything you read on this board, block caving has been around since the 1920's .
Please look it up.
Many civil engineering companies can construct a block cave operation.
If you work in engineering, you will understand this.
Building the channel tunnel, was a huge engineering feat. building a block cave operation is simple in comparison.

NM has said no to a JV so many times, I see no evidence that the situation has changed.
We get the PFS done, we get a CFP and proceed to DFS.
By that time financing will be in place and we proceed in the Construction of Alpala, with the revised infrastructure, so that the mines near to Alpala can share the above ground resources.
No need for a JV.

BHP and NCM, buy in the expertise to build their mines.

Good evening Lafitte, we are not going it alone, we will buy in the expertise, I believe we have already done this as the designs and costings in the PFS have to be outlined.
I doubt we are doing this ourselves,
I would suggest we are buying in the expertise to do the design ( a civil engineering company, with Block cave expertise ), and maybe the company we are using will build it.
