Hi Aquinaga, understand what you are saying, as if we do get a bid, it will need to be defended.
I would add, that there were plenty of occasions where someone could bid for us.
If we get a bid of say 80 pence and it's rejected, then the share price will settle around 80 pence.
That means the next bid would have to be higher.
So if anyone goes hostile, they need to get this right first time.
However they had better hurry up, as PFS, CFP and DFS all scheduled for next year, and I don't believe any of those events will be negative.

Hi Iceberg, I have been reading your posts this morning and agree.
There are just some people on here, who will twist every event on here, to suit their own personnel outcome.
To say that someone will be deposed, because the people who lost the vote and cannot get Solgold cheaply, is ridiculous.
I believe that NM will issue new shares and will make sure that CGP, BHP and NCM don't get to subscribe, and increase the already diverse register we have, and dilute these companies further.
I think BHP miscalculated badly yesterday, and if they do want Solgold, all that's left is a hostile bid.
Bring it on I say, they are not getting us cheap.
I for the record, don't believe we will get a bid.

If you believe that the shareholders have lost confidence, he will be asked to step down.
The converse is true.
What about if the 3 shareholders want to make a quick buck out of Solgold and stuff the majority of shareholders, who like the direction that NM is taking, are you saying they would ask him to step down.

What happened yesterday was a triumph for investors.
Most votes are controlled by Pension companies and people with a large stake.
Solgold is not, it has a diverse register.
Yes not comfortable reading, but a resounding victory.
I cannot imagine a situation where anyone who was voted for by the majority of large stakes and PI's and won the vote, would be asked to step down, because some large shareholders, who are not acting in the best interests of the company, and want to buy us cheap, force NM to step down.
I think NM will be thoughtful today, but he knows he has mobilized a powerful entirety in PI's and will now take steps to make the share register more diverse, and win more support.

I agree with your assessment on the build.
I do however disagree that we need a JV.
NM some time ago explained his position on JV's, and I agree with him.
If we needed the money, and we could not finance this ourselves, then a farm in, JV, or giving up a massive amount of the company through dilution would be the way.
And at a time, when we were not even sure we could fund this to PEA, then I could see a JV as a real possibility.
I don't believe that is the case today.
I believe Ingo will get us a CFP.
I believe the high level and low level designs or their equivalent will be completed, and then it's a civil engineering project.
If you listen to Steve Garwin, we are gaining a lot more information from the drilling, than just where the gold and copper is.
We are defining the system, and thus that guides us in the design and build.
However you are correct and every project of this size will hit problems, but the project management, with the engineering teams, will overcome and complete the construction.
Just the nature of such projects, regardless of who builds them.

I don't insult people, and you will find examples in my postings where I have made an apology to people, if I have hurt their feelings.
I have even said sorry to Earthling. ( I must have been having an off day, or drunk too much wine )
That statement in brackets is part of my personality, as can be sarcastic.
However I did issue an apology to how Earthling responded to people, when he posted on the situation with his parents and I still wish him all the best.
I however had to filter him, to stop myself responding to his attacks on me, as my sarcastic nature just sometimes takes over, and people on this board, were getting fed up with the both of us.

This post is not directed at you.
I always take on board other peoples views. You could not be an engineer if you didn't take on experts views who write technical service documents and bring forward the most effective solution in cost and reliability, and that was fit for purpose.
I am the least stubborn person you will ever meet, but I will ask people who disagree with me to present their case, and I fully expect to be asked to justify my position.
Just because my filtered posters disagree with me, and throw their toys out the pram, and scream louder than me, doesn't make them right.
I can be sarcastic, not one of my better points. ( I need to work on that more )
I can get things wrong, and when I have, and people have provided the proof, I have quickly owned up to my mistakes.
It's the only way for personal improvement and to gain a better understanding of any situation.

Right I have been checking the RNS's this morning, and have been looking for the one that says NM has resigned or departed. ( not seen it yet )
Would the let's sell this cheap brigade, like to predict when we get such an RNS.
I will start the ball rolling.
My prediction is after Alpala is built, and NM want's a well deserved retirement.

Morning Scrat, I imagine as an engineer, you can see why the sell us cheap brigade, don't understand why Alpala cannot be built.
They come out with really very silly quotes like oh this is so difficult, and we cannot build a block caving project.
People like you and me understand, that not only can Solgold build this, but it will probably be the best and most efficient block cave project in the world, because it's the latest, and civil engineering firms, are the people that continuously improve design and implement from past projects.

Good to see you back BNC, I know you don't agree with what I think will happen, but you talk sense.
We get governments all over the world in functioning democracies win by less margin than NM was elected.
This was a victory for NM and the BOD, and the direction of the company.
Now some very silly posters on here this morning have said that NM needs to communicate better on the direction of the company.
This is a tough question to answer.
The only reason you can possibly have for not understanding that NM and the BOD's direction is to take Alpala to production, is if you permanently wear a metal bucket on your head.
So take my advise please.
Take off the metal bucket, have a glass of beer or wine or two, chill and listen to all the webinars you can get hold of, and then tell me where he has altered the message that we are taking this to production.
NM and the BOD, could not be clearer.

Woody, when have you ever seen NM look cheerful, he always looks tired.
Probably because he is working so hard on his and our behalf's.
Again congratulations to everybody who voted in support of NM.
I see this as a step change in Solgolds story.
I suspect that we will get more PI's taking an interest in supporting NM and the company taking Alpala to production.
This is because we learnt one huge lesson yesterday.
Because of the diverse share register, and no one party having a controlling interest, that the PI's have real influence over the direction of Solgold, and so we will see more investor engagement.
I think next time we have a vote, let's see soon of the 20% that didn't vote get vocal.
This is just a guess.

Agreed Iceberg, I made that point just after the RNS of the delay of the PFS on shared resources for other projects in the area.

TBTT , I started investing when I was 19 over the years I have put 5000 pounds of my own money into stocks and shares.

I don't have cooperate management experience, but I have a background in broking, actuarial work and engineering.
I am good at what I do and cautious.

You will find that the people on here that have the Cooperate knowledge on here, are not correct most of the time.
And yesterday they were wrong big time.
But they still assert that the people who listen to NM, don't know what they are talking about.
They are saying that NM doesn't know what he talking about.
That is ridiculous.

TBTT, please sit down and read my entire posting history, and then tell me why on Earth you think we will get a hostile takeover.
I have been here 8 years, with uninformed posters saying week on week, that we will get a takeover in one form or other.
We have not had a takeover so far, and the uninformed posters keep posting I am wrong, and that one will happen.
They twist every bit of news and call it fact.

A fact is an observable event that is either directly or indirectly observed ( Scientific explanation )
So what did we observe yesterday.
Well we observed that poor little defenseless Solgold win over the Big boys.
We observed a working defense strategy.
We observed parties trying to get us on the cheap.
We observed that Solgold can defend against any interference.
Those are the facts.

Now the non factual. ( I believe these statements to be true, but are not facts yet, as we have not had the observations yet )
We are going to get a PFS, that has a greater NPV than the PEA.
We are going to get a PFS with an even better payback period than the PEA.
We are going to get a CFP with minimal dilution.
We are going to construct and build Alpala.
We are going to carry on exploration and build other mines.
We are going to become a major mining company in the world.
We are going to become a FTSE 100 company.

I don't see any FACTS that say we are going to do none of the things and sell out cheap. because a bunch of uninformed posters, are desperate for the money.

Agreed FTJNY, I don't believe some of the rubbish spouted this morning.
But to suggest that voters would change their vote, because they believe the sell us cheap brigade, over the judgement of NM and the current BOD, is beyond delusional.

Exactly lesliez, I don't think half the people on this chatroom have the experience they say they have.
I think the biggest reveal after the AGM has been this morning.
We have people on here with Geology experience, they don't seem phased by the results.
We have people on here with engineering experience, they don't seem phased by the result.
Then we have people who understand cooperate law and finance, we shall call these people accountants.

When we where in the early stages of Alpala, I listened to the people with geology experience.
When we get the CFP, we should listen to the accountants.
When we get the HLD and LLD we listen to the engineers.
We now need to increase our defense and give NM and the BOD free reign.
I am amazed how many posters on here think they can do a better job than NM and the BOD, and scream how they would run Solgold.

I agree RICH3R, my observation is the clock is ticking for CGP. We need to get to DFS as fast as we can. This would mean a distressed sale for them. Or they have to raise funds.
I think I understand why no-one has bid for CGP. If say BHP brought CGP. Then their would be no question that BHP could raise the 15% to fund Alpala. BHP want Alpala, not play a part in funding it to construction to put Solgold in an even stronger position.
