I will give you a scenario that I believe you will maybe agree with.
Many on here brought at under ten pence, some under five pence (like me). So many have made money. Then we have people who have paid current market price or above, and they are unhappy (mostly). So the question is what gives us a higher Base price to trade off of. It's not drilling results or MREs, although they underpin value. It's revenue or perceived revenue. We are not in a position where we have a clear plan to monitise Solgold. We don't need to build it to see the share price increase. But we do need the CFP and the plan and time scales to build it, so while I await the PFS, what I want is the financing in the CFP and engineers boots on the ground building this monster. Then and only then do I see some volume appearing, and a more stable and rising share price.

Jerry that's silly and you know it, the reason I don't see it as dilutive is because it adds to our defence, and the money we raise is used and so has no dilutive effect in the price at time of issue, but leads to a higher price at a later stage, in two ways. One is it makes any potential offer higher, and two it gives us breathing space to build.

Morning Bozi, I always read your posts with interest and can see that the points you make as entirely possible. But with over 40 years of investing, I have seen where the book is not diverse enough, we get a cheap takeover sooner rather than later, as this enables a shake out of PI's or two parties form a concert group, and take control, and eventually bid over a couple of years while holding the share price within a range, and choking off volumes, as these shares are static. We haven't got that situation here. We have low volume at the moment, but that won't last. Investors are going to have to see a way Alpala gets built and gives us a constant revenue stream. We will get interest I believe once this laid out, and we start construction. Then I see volume increasing, and we start to see the share price rise. Unfortunately we have to play the waiting game until then.
Lastly we need to defend against any bid, as all bids at this stage will be low ball for the reasons I set out above. Where I differ from most on here, is I believe we can defend, because of the share register and the defence the company has built, where others do not.

We are protected from a low ball offer by the diverse book. Let's say BHP gives us one pound a share. Then NM, DGR, NCM,CGP, and others reject it, not because it's a low ball offer, but because they are playing the long game and they know how much their holdings are worth once we are producing. The only danger of a low ball offer is a concert group. That's what we need to be on the lookout for. But again unless the book changes, I doubt that would be successful at this time. I personally would like to see another player take 5-10% of Solgold shares through another issue, not existing shares, to make the book more diverse, give us funding for regionals and make a bid even harder. I wouldn't see this as dilution, but as mounting a defence to keep Solgold safe from all bids.

Agreed DBW, but I do remember looking at the layout and thinking, I wonder when they were doing the drilling to decide where the infrastructure goes, that Alpala and Tandy could be linked in some way and share surface infrastructure. I think we are going to be surprised when the PFS gets published, as CGP are happy about something.

Hi BNC, that is for a full block cave operation , not for the early cut that is going to mean that we offset production costs in the early years. We are going for the near surface high grade, but we can agree to disagree, as if I am right it will be in the PFS, if you are right it will not be in the PFS.

Your probably right LunchMoney, I am just referring to the Geography as Tandy is only 3 miles or kilometers away and we could possibly share above ground infrastructure, also it has some high grade copper ore near surface.

Agreed DBW, no need to respond to Zoros, he knows he is misleading people, we go for the high grade surface material a long time before block cave. Maybe Tandy will be included in the Alpala PFS, who knows.

KM has never said first production 2029. Please put up link when KM says first open cut is 2029.

You had production at 2028 and have changed production to 2029 but say full block cave, as you realise production is before that.

You should make a correction and at least tell people what the company position is.

Company position: We are preparing a PFS in October and this will mean we can build Alpala quicker and for less cost. It will start with an open cut and as we move to block cave, we will target the high ore content.
We get the timescales in the PFS and certainly will not be 2029.
I believe we will be in production by 2025, but will wait for the PFS to lay out the timescales.

Good afternoon DBW the problem is the placing was for people who knew about Solgold.
Those shareholdings are pretty static.
It's the people who don't know about Solgold that we need to attract. PI's and Institutional investors.

Only two months to go to the PFS.

Fair question lancs, so will answer it.
I only use this chatroom for speculative shares. I have been investing for 40 years, so on blue-chip I have built up a portfolio that I do OK with. Now and again I buy a speculative share to make a large capital gain to increase my blue-chip portfolio. I was on this chatroom in 2012 as a tip from someone who held Fortune oil. My speculative share at the time. ( I made money, but not a great story).
I have been in oil and gas shares for decades, so have a good knowledge of the sector. This is my first mining share, and my only one so far, and has been as much a learning exercise, as an investment. I invested in 2013 after receiving much abuse from someone called Earthling, for not being invested. Which was true at the time and openly admitted I wasn't.
When I did buy in I published my buys on this chatroom and simultaneously hit execute on the trade, so those with level 2 could see I was genuine.
That shutup the likes of Earthling for about 48 hours.
I don't mind amateurs, at some stage we all have to increase our knowledge, ( I had to in the early years as I have said this was my first share in mining).
What I do mind is the uninformed and hateful individuals who come on here and attack me and speak utter rubbish and misinform.

That along with my other posts hopefully explains my position. For completeness I hold a fair amount, and am averaged at 4.6 pence a share. I have not bought on the peaks and lows, as although I can trade, I don't with Solgold, as like others, I am here long term.

I just say it as it is.
People who are traders will come on-board when they can make money, at the moment they cannot. It's the people on here constantly saying we will be bought, that are the dishonest posters on here, either because they think, that if they say it with one voice, that people will believe them or they know very little about investing.

Please don't assign me an agenda. I don't have one, except to make money in the long term. I have mostly income producing shares, and am spending more time looking at those these days. Anyone who knows about investing knows that the problem here is volume. It's not a conspiracy theory to say that. Anyone here can look at the trading history and see the daily volume. And quickly identify this as our problem. It's not people trading CFD's or putting up blockers to hold the price down. That's ridiculous and shows that these people who say such things to be amateur.
I hopefully covered CFD's and explained why no one is using these to hold down the Solgold price. Let's briefly talk about blockers. Now and again we see so called blockers 250,000 or 500,000 and some on here think that's manipulation. What utter rubbish. That's normal trading. If we had normal volume. Those so called blockers would be taken out quickly and easily. This chatroom is insane in its assertions. I hope that explains my take on Solgold.
I believe it's a good share to be in, but don't believe most of the rubbish on here, by people who are looked up to, because the people taking notice of them can't work it out for themselves, or are inexperienced in investing and like to give the idea, that they know what they are talking about. We get some good and informative posters on here, but we also get some real dross.

Most important rule of investing. Know why you are personally invested, not because someone else tells you why you are invested.

The problem we have is volume, let's just take stock and reflect.

We cannot even trade a minimum of ten million a day. That's ten million in total on the buy and sell side in total. At this mornings price, that's under 2.7 million pounds of buys and sells a day. It's nothing.
People look at for buys of 50,000 and say it's a large buy. We need to see individual buys in the millions of shares.
In short we need traders in large numbers in this share to achieve churn. I for one hope that the PFS may bring this type of investor on board. We then will have speculation of the date for the CFP.
The very fact we don't have traders in any great number speaks volumes.
It's because no one seriously thinks that Solgold will be bid for. If they did we would see these type of trades happening. We don't so it's not happening. I for one am not downbeat about this, as I look forward to better days. But we need to get a better profile in the mining sector, so that people look at us as a viable short term and long term investment. Ultimately that means we have the finance sorted, and we start building. The rest will fall into place.

Morning Cougar, it's not volatile, it's just trading within a range, with very little volume, this is behaving like any other share in Solgolds position.

Sorry Covgaz based on what, nothing has changed and BHP and NCM and CGP must have a good idea what's roughly in the PFS.
Nothing has changed, we may get a lift at PFS, some of the lift may well stick, but we need the CFP.

Correct BNC as on the 22nd we fell below 5% and todays says the starting figure is 5.01%
I don't think this is anything, just normal trading.
So the speculation I believe about who's buying shares is unfounded.

I was looking at the 5.01% figure on todays RNS, and then I looked at the total holding of 114,998,840 shares.
I did a quick calculation with our figure of 2,294 million shares, and couldn't make out how the 5.01% figure equated to the figures.
So 2,294,000,000 multiplied by 5.01 divided by 100 comes to 114,929,400= 69,440 less, so I assumed that amount had been sold and that just took us below 5.01
