As usual DBW a coherent post, you could be right.
But let me address the point that if a discovery as big as Cascabel cannot be sold why bother.
It's because of the size of Cascabel and the diverse book that it is tough to make a bid.
The diverse book means that all the big players have to act in concert, which means that a bid could be launched.
However that has not happened and for many a good reason.
No one player can own Cascabel because it means the other main stakeholders losing out on a cheap bid.
So we are left with two alternatives on takeovers.
The first is an agreed bid, well I imagine that Solgold would want a premium and I don't see BHP or anyone else entertaining that idea.
Second a hostile bid, which is probably the only type of bid that could succeed considering the diverse register.
But you and I know the problems with that.
We suddenly get close to a bid based on a fair percentage of NPV and that is going to grow after the PFS and as MRE's add to the NPV figure. It's a moving target.
If a hostile bid was going to take place, it would have happened at the end of last year after BHP's standstill came to an end. It didn't and for all the reasons I have said over the last few years.
Simply put No one is going to buy Solgold because the bid would be considerable for a project that could have cost overruns and is too risky for a major.
They may well bid for it once it's up and running as totally de-risked and no doubt I think that's likely.
But to bid now when BHP have large amounts of capital reserved for upgrading their current projects around the world is unlikely.

DBW have you considered that he is chirpy because CGP can fund their share of Alpala and get a bigger long term payout because we can mitigate the costs by getting to production cheaper and quicker, and that money will be raised against 100% of ENSA as Solgold and CGP will cooperate over a cheaper financing model and thus makes it affordable for both parties.

Redknight and addicknt lets be clear the insults have been both ways , addicknts have been snide saying I have never run a company and thus don't know what I am talking about. Well guess what I have said I never have run a company, what I have done is be a successful investor for just over 40 years. Incredible as it sounds I have lost out on one share. The first one I invested in.
I am extremely good at what I do, and I have worked in finance and I.T where I have experienced good and bad CEO's.
The good ones have vision and will place the company in a position that gives it a future and a competitive advantage, and the bad ones will tread water drawing their monthly salary until they get a speech thanking them for their efforts and sliding off never to be heard of again.
Nick Mather was never the latter. He transformed Solgold and gave us a future, he never once said we cannot build this, and has put us in a competitive position. All us small investors should be so grateful we were never sold off cheap or sacrificed in some JV where the only losers are small shareholders.

After BNC's post i have stopped the insults from my side, but still receive the snide insults.
I have more experience than most on here. Not because I have run a company, but because my investment strategy knows how to identify what is good about a long term investment.
I don't do short term investments, because a short term investment can turn on you are any time.
Yes their is risk in Solgold. We could run out of money and no one would bank roll us and we would get taken out on the cheap.
But as every month advances towards an income from production, those risks recede and we become a stronger company and will stop issuing stock and grow as a major copper miner.

On my side the insults have stopped, let's see if the snide comments can stop from the people who have been wrong on every occasion.
We are not for sale and we will become a producer, not because I say so, because as an investor of 40 years I can tell when a company is serious about what it says, backed by the evidence and don't subscribe to any self world view. And I can tell when it is flakey in its announcements.
My take on this is that it is serious and has a plan for Solgold to become a major Producer of Copper.

So let's kick the insults and conspiracy theories to the curb, as BNC said recently and discuss what Solgold announces, and not twist things to suit individuals financial circumstances.

First of all you cannot take this statement in isolation, if you do, then you can twist it to mean anything.

We will build Alpala cheaper and quicker.
We will be a producer with open cut before 2029 ( more info in PFS )
We will operate a full block cave operation in 2029.
Now we will explore all options means we will explore all options to achieve funding to bring about the above and achieve the above.
Not we are telling lies and we are desperate to sell it because we cannot go this alone. WE CAN.
I just don't know how much clearer Solgold could be.

As for Zoros post this morning, I was even surprised that he twisted and turned so much, it was meaningless.

As for addicknts question on what about the CGP RNS. That's just another example of twisting a pretty bland statement.

Sorry DBW he did say block caving on the 2029 date. He said Block cave in production by 2029, and when he referred to Lasso's point on 2025, he again inferred that it would be difficult, referring to first production of Alpala by 2025.

Addicknt no confusion was sown, if you listened to company statements, you have a habit of taking things in isolation and then twisting them.
It has been said many times that the new PFS in October will bring Alpala to production cheaper and quicker. ( that's on the 2025 date ) ( The PFS will give us more information ).
Unfortunately many supported Zoros and did the same thing of not listening and not thinking.
No doubt Zoros will twist this in some way, so expect more people jumping on what I say.

It was me and If I remember rightly BNC that said Gold was going to struggle at 2,000 dollars an ounce.
Their are very good reasons why Fiat currency is not collapsing.
Mainly how it's regulated by capital ratio tier one, and that quantitative easing is not printing money, as banks use this to maintain their ratio's and ability to lend, and the fact that slowly it must be paid back.
Yes the EU and USA are extended at the moment and you see all around the world inflation is starting to raise it's head.
But the biggest problem worldwide at the moment is going to be tax, as rising taxes to tackle climate change, will apply downward pressure on inflation.

Morning DBW, we get volume by having a clear path to production.
At the moment the market doesn't know the costs and timescales or engineering processes that need to be laid out in the HLD, I would be surprised if they publish the LLD, but that needs to be present to get the costings .
This may be in the DFS, so it makes sense to me that the PFS is being prepared in a way that can be easily pushed to form the basis of a DFS with the LLD and maybe more things that I am unaware of.
So to get volume, we need a PFS,DFS,CFP, BFS.

In other words we require a plan that the market can easily understand and hold us to account on costs and timescale.

As somewhat expected, I disagree. The reason for the share price is simple.
It has nothing to do with trying to twist statements into something more or less important.
It's to do with volume. People were happy to buy in at lower prices, because they understood the upward pressure on the price. Today's price shows with the present story has upward and downward pressure, so we trade within a range. We need news that gives us a clear route to production or a buyout. It's a simple case of volume.

This is not good for Bluejay investors, it's only good if they want a short term profit.
Solgold can raise the money without a JV, Bluejay couldn't.
Solgold's position is much better.

Agreed Bozi, but do see you route to value as a CFP and engineers on the ground, as Solgold is different to many discoveries. It's just the size of this thing. We will be building on our current tenements long after we are all dead.

Sorry Jerry, you don't understand placings. We had placings at 3 pence a share. Yet the share price is many times that today. So in the long term not dilutive. When we get a placing at current price or above current price is is not dilutive. If it's below current price it is. If the money is used to increase market cap it is not dilutive. I believe you see dilution in number of shares in issue. That's what's silly. Companies like Solgold raise money in this fashion, until they no longer need to. That time is getting closer.
