A little break away in brazil refreshed me some what. I did keep popping in to see latest news on this rollercoaster.
If anything its become quite interesting watching the legal affairs that go on.
We have moved the asset, now if that is allowed or not in international law i am not sure. If the loan was secured on the company due to the assets of block 12 then can we legally move those assets elsewhere.? Georgian law seems to state we can.
Is hope aware of the fact that we lose and he loses if we pass the asset over. personally i would prefer the GG to get it all than the scum that tried to force the demise of Frontera and steal our money. That would easily be my second option although would do nothing for me financially.
Does anyone have any news on loans? do we have the money to pay Hope if the Judge does hold all against us?
If law decides we did breach the terms of the loan, do we have option 100% to pay instead in full, or over 12 months can any one clarify both are 100% true.
how sure with all this going on are we that we are in a good state of solvency?
I would expect BHGC to be making good progress by now, maybe increasing production dramatically, but with out listing we are completely in the dark. They may have gone and put a hold on proceedings until legal issues resolved, or they could have increased productivity by 100% Even possibly drilled two new wells.
This is a issue now, we have very little knowledge on where we are and state of finances.
Hope does seem to be winning the battle, but its like a nuclear, the winner is not the one that fires the first missiles, as the effects destroys both sides. Hope looks likely to not profit even if he wins as the asset can go to Georgian Govt.
This really sounds like two old men puffing their chests out and both knowing they need to settle or both lose, but playing the hard man game for the best deal. Who blinks first.
To be honest neither can afford Hope to win the asset, as both would face financial ruin. Hope knows this, So do FRR.
I would be happier if someone can clarify if moving asset would be legal as we have done, can it be reversed and will it be looked at badly in eyes of any future case? Is protecting our existence wrong whilst we wait for legalities, i would suspect its not and would be seen as sensible precaution.
So unless i am wrong, The courts can find for hope in full and due to law in Georgia, Hope would still lose all and probably his investment business would also then fold.
Hope's investors will want something for the money they invested, they are a small number so probably fairly influential Unless FRR offer something amicable to Hope, he has nothing to lose. So i think this is both side jostling for position around the financial deal table.
What a film this would make, Oil, Money, Greed, manipulation, legal wrangling, twists and turns, suspense and of course a villain to hate.
