I dont care what the official OJ thinks and also have no inclination to start up my own subscription service 🤣🤣

As an aside theres loads of good people out there offering such services. Ones I like tend to offer up potential case studies for further research and also ask for bear and bull case views. I found OJ very singularly one dimensional, I'm afraid. Interesting reading though. And every day is a school day.

Contrary to what you may think, I do fundamentally believe that investing is a broad church and theres room for all of us whatever our strategy.

FWIW here is my brief critique...

You will note that I have not described it as well reasoned. The reason for that is that trading and leveraged trading in particular is very risky and you dont mention that. Dont 80-90% of people lose money when they do leveraged trades?

One of the weaknesses of the LTH approach is knowing when to cash out at the top. In PRD, this is reduced because management are only interested in proving up and selling on....meaning special divis and that decision is made for you.

I'll trust that decision because management have significant skin in the game and it's not just about making a few quid for them. They could put the for sale sign up and cash out now if they liked for a fraction of the overall value. No, I believe it's more a mission to them and a bit of a 2 fingered salute to the ruling O&G elite, which I quite like.

One of the other criticisms of the LTH approach is that people always get stung when they are greedy. I respectfully suggest that this also applies to leveraged traders too. In terms of my PRD investment, I have accepted that I will be happy with whatever value they realise, whether it be 40p or £4 or £11.50 per share.

The other thing that bugs me is that if OJ is sooo successful at this and he is a seasoned experienced professional investor, why is he wasting time scooping up £20 pm subscriptions? I'd expect him to be a billionaire now and have this franchised out 🤣🤣🤣

So in conclusion:

1. I dont have the time, inclination or risk appetite to try out leveraged trading

2. I believe better gains are achieved by simply waiting and seeing what transpires and making evidence based decisions where needed

3. Sadly, it's a no from me to paraphrase Britain's got talent. I wont be subscribing.

I'm really surprised I have to spell it out but it is an entirely private matter for GRH. We have no right to know and in my view it makes no difference to what is in the ground at guercif.

I wont be making any financial decisions based on whether GRH is an insider or not. I'm accountable for my own actions and decisions. So should everyone else be.

states, there is always a residual risk. So much can go wrong. Being able to sleep at night is important to me. But boy the risk/reward is totally beyond normal comprehension. And the odds are increasing in our favour as time goes on....a really enjoyable ride

Oily.....Yes you are indeed right. Criminal and civil cases are different to some extent but my.point is neither are a laughing matter. There's usually a lot of money at stake if not your liberty. And yes, I spent a decade working for a govt law enforcement agency where my record was 100% conviction rate - not that it is relevant here. Poaching is much more fun than game keeping so I got out. ;-)

Mumbo....have you ever been to court? Never a laughing matter, trust me. I had a 100% conviction rate in a past life as a prosecutor. I didnt see anyone smiling.

It's a 2 day survey. Unlikely to be costing millions, more likely £50-100k would be my guess.

Great question raised there by androcles. I'm no O&G expert but have experience of commissioning and decommissioning electricity infrastructure. I would guess that decommissioning a subsea pipeline is an expensive business and so carrying out a thorough condition assessment of the pipeline prior to decommissioning would reduce risks and therefore costs. I dont have a view on whether the survey costs would be recouped by the savings made, however. I leave that to the experts here. GLA

And the germans are trying to tempt the norwegians into diverting their supplies south rather than west.....highest bidder springs to mind...and we will bear the cost.
