tester, hopefully Cacao will move the sp but I will not be holding my breath. Ultimately though if Cacao can add another million oz then we might eventually be taken over by a bigger player. That has always been MC's plan and might be the best route to a decent return for shareholders. Going into production doesn't always add value as HUM clearly demonstrates! MC also always planned to do a BFS and sell - not sure what has happened re the BFS?

I'm not dissing the RNS as it was good news - just highlighting the usual naff reaction. In the old days discovering a new vein would have sent the sp flying.

Agree that every thing is easier in hindsight, however, your statement that 'you can only make the best decision you can with the info you have at the time' is meaningless. It is perfectly possible to make a dire decision with the info you have at the time and it is perfectly reasonable to say that he made poor decisions with the info he had back then. I'm happy that drilling has started but I would have been much happier if it had started a couple of years ago when absolutely nothing was happening. MC stated that drilling was a waste of time back then because good drill results were not moving the sp up. Although it is true that the sp was not moved by results increasing the resource substantially would have made us a target for the big boys so it would have been well worth it and we would be in a much better position now. Believe me, MC isn't that interested in being a producer he has always wanted to sell. He always used to say do a BFS for a 200 oz pa project and sell. Still no BFS and still well short of 200k oz production eleven years later.

Meanwhile as we wait to be 'shovel ready' Ross Beaty continues to vote with his feet and off load his shares and he could easily put us back in the 30's. He doesn't rate MC and you have to ask whether he is correct. What I don't get is this latest attempt to drill up a new vein to prove up another one million oz. Why the hell wasn't this done years ago? We've been around 40p for years so the dilution would have been the same to pay for the drilling - just wasted years I'm afraid. If we had proven up five million oz four or five years ago we would have been taken over by now. Instead we are looking at months and months before we get anywhere near such a resource. Duff strategy IMO.

shovel ready by 2023? Time passes on by with more and more dilution and unless MC pulls his finger out my £2 target is beginning to look like a mirage. Getting hacked off with the endless delays here.

sam don't get too excited about infill drilling results. Although they are very necessary for the mine plan, at best they will confirm the resource we already have (maybe slightly up, maybe slightly down) - not sp changing IMO.

KaMei in fairness he was asked about the ESG by the interviewer and was simply answering his question lol. Without a doubt covid has had a big impact on costs so we should cut HUM a bit of slack.

Totally predictable last minute drop of the sp - more tricks over the next few sessions to tempt buyers in whilst letting Ross out.

If the order belongs to Ross Beaty then unfortunately he may be intent on selling out. Hope not because I still painfully remember the drop to 16p when we last had a big seller.

if you can't sell any then the likelihood is that there is a big sell order in the background and this may have a bit further to drop.

Certainly the drill results are excellent and the resource should get a big lift. 40m at 4g/t equates to roughly 85k oz of inferred oz and the 30m hole at 3g/t adds 46k oz of Inferred so SE is shaping up to be a highly lucrative pit. I hope Betts upgrades the resource significantly this year.

Fair point tester. I hope he pulls it off but he has plenty to prove. Progress over the last few years has been painfully slow (mainly due to the poor decision to rehouse the villagers) and clearly Ross has a few doubts. JIm doesn't so hopefully he is proven right otherwise my £2 target won't be met, lol.

ISA I wouldn't expect drill results to have any impact to be honest. It is infill drilling to confirm the estimated current resource and could either slightly increase or decrease the resource depending on results. It is a shame that some drilling on Cacao hasn't been done yet in tandem to start expanding the resource or a couple of extra deep holes in the current main pit to test down dip extensions (the vein could go down another 200m+ for all we know).
