RE: Waiting for the Competent Person’s Report (CPR)9 Apr 2025 21:51
@Punter1234 — All fair points, and no doubt the TZ Government and their teams have done their homework. But let’s not forget: government validation isn’t always bank validation.
𝐓𝐆 can back the project with confidence, but external financiers, JV partners, and off-takers — especially international ones — still like their reports stamped by someone wearing a “Competent Person” badge and a very expensive suit. It’s less about doubting the data, more about ticking boxes for institutional comfort and market transparency.
And yes, CPRs may sometimes feel like glorified rubber stamps — but they unlock capital, validate scale, and grease the wheels of rerates. Not to mention, it’s hard to market “world-class helium” without showing your homework.
So maybe it’s not either/or — it’s both. TG support and CPR validation. One brings the power, the other brings the polish.
𝘕𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘤𝘢𝘱 𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘦: if that CPR comes dressed in big numbers, we’ll all be singing from the same hymn sheet.
𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐤 — the rerate orchestra is just warming up 🎻📈
