TOM-vast, are you living is some sort of time shift universe? You are way out of date. Why don't you read the latest RNS announcements so that you can understand how things have changed since those days? Hope you don't buy shares based on that kind of information.

You can imagine all kinds of scenarios playing out here. It's not impossible for GGP to JV with Artimis to aquire a stake in anything good that Artimis exploration reveals down the line. If the Paterson area throws up many more good results, the big players will move aggressively. In the end this will be a game of winner takes all.

desjwhite, we are not expecting £1.50 - £2.00, or anything like that in the short term - you are way off the mark. Do you realise that an SP like that would value the company at over 6 Billion? A more reasonable price would be 15p - 20p in the medium term if more big discoveries are made on the Paterson licenses. That would value the company at around 500 Million.

Must be a very difficult life not knowing fact from fiction, and investing in stocks.

Just to get some proper perspective on what the Newcrest JV means and the significance of Havieron, it is important to see Havieron as just an entry point for them. Newcrest is not banking on further bonanza grades, but just want to get to the true extent and measurement. What Newcrest want's is a peace of all the other prospects in the Paterson licenses, and it looks like GGP are trying to solidify that desire by acquiring more prospective areas near Telfer. Newcrest already know there is enough mineralisation in Havieron to start things off, and there's absolutely no way they will give up on the massive opportunities open to them in the deal.

Apple, Scallywag could be huge and Black Hills could also be excellent, but we have to wait to realise value. In a year or two, GGP will be a very different animal, and many of the possible events you mention may well happen. Paterson is one of the few places left in the world where there is even a hope of large discoveries being made, and we own one of the best bits.

TOM-vast, it's not strange at all. Black Hills and Scallywag require more analysis and planning than Firetower - they can't afford to get it wrong. Then you have to consider rig availability in Paterson - there's a lot of demand right now and Black Hills may need more than one rig. Also, Scallywag needs more surveying before any rigs hit the ground. Finally, GGP does not plan based on what short term share holders expect, and Firetower still needs to be moved forward after a positive 3DiP survey.

Yashy, the the mining season is just starting up again in Western Australia and Newcrest need to get moving on Havieron very soon. Meanwhile, plans are being finalised for the next exploration campaigns at Black Hills and Scallywag. It would be surprising if the share price didn't appreciate once the details are announced.

GGP has not stated that NC won't look at other licenses until Hav is completed. In any case, what does completed actually mean? Do you have a link to that article?
